The ERC operates in a number of modes, including Information Mode, Emergency Response Mode, Security Mode, and Surveillance Mode. The Emergency Response Center functions are software selectable on a large video touch screen. A video screen displays emergency information to users and allows videoconferencing with various authorities as well as any individuals that own the account and apparatus. News, maps, weather, store directories, and other non-emergency information are also displayed by the ERC. The ERC can conduct surveillance of passersby using video cameras configured to stream and record the area in the vicinity of the ERC. The ERC can also scan employee IDs, capture employee facial images, and register employee data in the ERC database. An ERC server allows remote administration of the ERC.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2011Date of Patent: December 30, 2014Inventors: Kazuo Morishita, Daniel Chung, Seung Park, Guo Lee

Patent number: 8851265Abstract: The present invention is a reverse vending machine which accepts non-metallic and metallic beverage containers for processing. The beverage containers are inserted by the user into an intake chute, where they are then compacted, sorted, and deposited in storage bins contained in the machine. A number of additional functions are provided by the reverse vending machine, including a self cleaning system, a video screen for displaying information to users, a bar code scanner for scanning bar codes, a user ID reader, and a coupon printer for issuing coupons to users. All transaction information is processed by a computer and stored electronically. The invention automatically returns non-empty containers and containers with unacceptable or unreadable bar codes to the user. The user is also provided warning messages when the storage bins are nearly full, or when a container is jammed in the machine.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2011Date of Patent: October 7, 2014Assignee: RecycleTech CorporationInventors: Kazuo Morishita, Daniel Chung

Publication number: 20060190338Abstract: A managing computer adds a bulk-sales negotiation ID to a bulk-sales negotiation to distinguish the bulk sales negotiation from a normal sales negotiation. An amount of scheduled shipment and completed shipment for the bulk sales negotiation is managed by a bulk-sales-negotiation managing unit based on the bulk-sales negotiation ID. The managing computer obtains an amount of completed shipment of a regular negotiation by subtracting an amount of completed shipment of the bulk-sales negotiation from a total amount of completed shipment. The managing computer calculates a seasonal index based on an amount of completed shipment according to a stratification of products to design a sales plan. The managing computer adds an amount of schedule shipments of the bulk sales negotiation to the sales plan.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2006Publication date: August 24, 2006Inventors: Kaori Iida, Shoichi Yoshihiro, Katsuaki Kikuchi, Kazuo Morishita, Kaori Kasahara
