Abstract: An evaporated fuel control system for use with an internal combustion engine having a cylinder, a fuel supply system for supplying fuel into the cylinder, and a torque down control device for executing torque down control at a predetermined condition, the evaporated fuel control system includes: an evaporated fuel supply system for trapping fuel evaporated from the fuel supply system and supplying the evaporated fuel into the cylinder, and an evaporated fuel supply controller for controlling the supply of evaporated fuel into the cylinder in accordance with the execution of torque down control.

Abstract: A vehicle equipped with four-wheel drive has a transfer case including a center-differential which delivers driving power to both front and rear axle assemblies when needed and is shiftable between a two-wheel and a four-wheel drive mode of operation and between a differential-locked and a differential-unlocked drive mode of operation. A free wheeling drive mechanism with a clutch member is incorporated in an output shaft of an axle differential in association with wheels non-driven in the two-wheel drive mode of operation and is adapted to disconnect when the vehicle is in the two-wheel drive mode of operation. A controller causes a forced drive mode shift of the center-differential from the four-wheel differential-underlined drive mode of operation either to the four-wheel differential-locked or to the two-wheel drive mode of operation when the disconnection of the free-wheeling drive mechanism is detected while the vehicle is in the four-wheel differential-unlocked drive mode of operation.

Abstract: An automatic transmission including a torque converter and a multiple stage transmission gear mechanism. A hydraulically actuated brake and a hydraulically actuated clutch is provided for alternate engagement to select alternately one of two adjacent gear stages. In order to prevent gear shift shock, the engaging of the clutch or the brake is controlled so that the engaging rate is faster for a predetermined time period in an initial period of a gear shifting operation than in a remainder period. A control circuit is provided to monitor the gear shifting operation and modifying the predetermined time period in accordance with the results of the latest gear shifting operation and store the modified value for the use in a next gear shifting operation.
