  • Patent number: 8104282
Abstract: A power generation complex plant has a control switch, an overall control unit and a steam bypass facility. The overall control unit determines that a desired steam volume has reached a limit value of the volume of steam to be generated by a steam generating facility. A steam bypass facility control unit adds a bias value B1 to a control command value V4 of the steam bypass facility to generate a new control command value V5 when the desired steam volume is determined to have reached the limit value. The steam bypass facility control unit then controls the volume and pressure of steam passing through the steam bypass facility on the basis of the new control command value V5 so that no switch of control may be made in the control switch.

  • Publication number: 20090258641
Abstract: A split-able mobile device includes a parsed mobile device (PMD) and a pre-associated peer partner (PPP) that enables communication with networks when the PMD is in the vicinity of the PPP. The PMD locates the PPP and enters into peer mode. In peer mode, the PMD shares a function or operation with the PPP to reduce power costs or to alleviate overhead constraints. The PPP accesses a separate power source than the PMD and can provide greater service to a user without compromising performance of the PMD. If the PPP cannot be located, then the PMD enters a solo mode.

  • Patent number: 6781994
Abstract: This invention has as its object to provide an ATM relay device which attains high-speed, large-capacity packet relaying by distributing the load on an IP forwarding unit without having to improve the operation speed, processing performance, and the like of an IP forwarding function. This invention has an ATM switch core (111) for distributing input ATM cells to corresponding ones of a plurality of output ports on the basis of their destination information. A plurality of IP forwarding units (120-1 to 120-n), which are provided in correspondence with the respective output ports of the ATM switch core (111) and have unique forwarding processing functions, execute predetermined forwarding processes for packets obtained by reassembling ATM cells input via the respective output ports.

  • Patent number: 6580707
Abstract: The present invention aims at implementing acceleration of the hop-by-hop transfer without using a high-speed processor. In the present invention, a transfer destination searching circuit (12) constituted by hardware is provided in addition to a processor (11). In the transfer destination searching circuit (12), after header information has been extracted from received IP packet data, a content addressable memory (21) is first searched by using the header information as a key. If corresponding forwarding information cannot be obtained from the searching of the content addressable memory (21), HASH function searching is executed by employing an HASH searching pointer table (22). If the forwarding information is obtained from a forwarding table (23) as a result of these searching operations, the hop-by-hop transfer of the IP packet data is executed in accordance with the forwarding information.

  • Patent number: 6480468
Abstract: The present invention aims at making the cut-through trigger variable in accordance with the traffic environment, thereby increasing the cut-through traffic to enhance the efficiency of communication. In the trigger filtering unit (16A), the number of transfers of the hop-by-hop packet meeting each of a plurality of preset trigger conditions is counted. In the processor (15A), the rate of the traffic meeting each of trigger conditions to all the traffics of the hop-by-hop transfer is calculated in accordance with the count value, a trigger condition under which the rate exceeds the threshold value is selected as the cut-through trigger, and it is determined which of the cut-through transfer mode and the hop-by-hop transfer mode should be selected.

  • Patent number: 6226268
Abstract: An information communication system in which a switch constituting section (2) housing a data generating source is connected to a center switch constituting section (1) through a communication channel (3) using an ATM technology as if the function of an ATM switch of distributed arrangement type was realized. This information communication system flexibly handles new kinds of information provided with the progress of times, and, even when a fault occurs, properly copes with the fault.

  • Patent number: 5353653
Abstract: A system for monitoring abnormalities in a heat exchanger having heat-exchange tubes for heating feed water with extraction steam, an inlet and an outlet for the feed water, and a drain cooling zone, includes a process input, an apparatus for calculating the differential pressure between the feed water pressures at the inlet and outlet, an apparatus for computing the heat exchanging performance of the heat exchanger, and judgement apparatus for monitoring the differential pressure and the heat exchanging performance, thereby judging the presence or absence of scale accretion within the heat exchanger end, whenever scale accretion is present, judging the specific locations of the scale accretion in the inner and outer surfaces of the heat-exchange tubes, fluid flow distribution passageways and devices other than the heat-exchange tubes.
