Abstract: An information transmission method that transmits information from a first host device connected to a first network to a second host device connected to a second network, comprising the steps of writing information from the first host device to a shared storage region of a first storage device that is connected to the first network; reading information that is stored in the shared region of the first storage device by means of a third host device that is connected to the first network and the second network; writing the read information to a shared region of a second storage device that is connected to the second network by means of the third host device; and reading information that has been written to the shared region of the second storage device by means of the second host device.

Abstract: A computer system includes a plurality of host computers, at least one storage system coupled to the plurality of host computers through a plurality of paths, and a management computer, in which each of the plurality of host computers executes at least one application program which issues an I/O to the storage system, and the management computer obtains a characteristic of the application program and a characteristic of the path from the plurality of host computers and calculates a rate of assignment of data processed by the application program to each of the plurality of host computers based on the obtained characteristics of the application program and the path.

Abstract: Provided is a method of managing a computer system including a host computer and a storage subsystem, the host computer and the storage ubsystem being coupled to a management computer through a first network, the host computer and the storage subsystem being coupled to each other through a second network, the management computer including an input device for receiving an input, and an output device for displaying information, the method including: displaying objects included in the computer system and related to one another in a display area of the output device; and displaying, when the input device receives an input of designating one of the objects, an object related to be higher than the designated object in a form different from a form of the other objects in the display area of the output device. Accordingly, it is possible to specify parent objects related to a lower object with ease.

Abstract: A strobo electron beam apparatus is provided having an energy analyzer, which: measures the voltage in the integrated circuit; samples a secondary electron signal by setting and connecting a retarding voltage of the energy analyzer to the measured phase; obtains the waveform of the secondary electron signal by a one time or several times phase scanning; and adds the product of a suitable coefficient and a difference between the secondary electron signal waveform, and a slice level to the retarding voltage and corrects the same. Multiple units are provided for: judging the conversion of the retarding voltage, from the value of the dispersion for the slice level of the secondary electron signal waveform; for adding and giving a mean of the retarding voltage, for obtaining a measured value of retarding voltage having a desired S/N ratio; and for random phase scanning so that the measured value having a desired S/N ratio can be easily obtained.
