  • Publication number: 20200176133
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to achieve a simple and safe nuclear fusion reactor. The nuclear fusion reactor comprises: a vessel serving as a reactor body; a metallic heating element that contains heavy hydrogen contained in the vessel as a solute; a heavy hydrogen gas contained in the vessel, the heavy hydrogen gas being in an amount that allows 0.005% to 5% of heavy hydrogen to be contained as a solute in the metallic heating element based on the atomic ratio; and a mechanism for irradiating the metallic heating element with an ion beam. Such configuration causes, in the metallic crystal of the metallic heating element, a channeling phenomenon which guides ion beams to interstitial atom nuclei, and an intra-metal nuclear fusion probability increasing phenomenon which is explained based on the binary nucleus model.

  • Patent number: 8821105
Abstract: The nozzles include inlet ports circumferentially arranged into a group and an opening and closing valve disposed so as to be commonly functioned. This arrangement realizes a gas turbine with no deterioration of efficiency against fluctuation of gas inflow rate by only one heat-resistant moving component additionally installed. The variable nozzle number turbine according to this invention also realizes a turbine compressor with no surge limit when used as a regenerator. These turbines further realizes a small-sized gas turbine with improved fuel economy under partial load conditions and a turbocharger for regenerating electric power as well as improving efficiency of a displacement engine.

  • Patent number: 8186334
Abstract: In an attempt to regenerate energy of exhaust gas by using a pressure regenerator secured to an exhaust port of a displacement type engine so as to realize the Atkinson's cycle, if the engine is a four-cycle engine, raising regenerative pressure may cause abnormal fuel combustion or melting damage of an exhaust valve. The present invention has successfully solved this problem by using a six-cycle engine. The six-cycle engine with a regenerator according to the present invention is capable of varying proportion of the power output that is generated by the six-cycle engine itself and that is generated by the regenerator. Using this principle enables the six-cycle engine with a generator to be used as an engine that is capable of generating two kinds of output power or as a six-cycle gas turbine with high controllability.

  • Publication number: 20080065534
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel charge assessing system solely operable via an internet service line, which is characterized by novel functions including the following: Initially, a server for running a web site owned by a distribution operator stores a numeric value of a variable x in correlation with ID of individual users, which is constantly shown on a display screen of a terminal owned by a corresponding user. Whenever the user pays a charge, actual value of the variable x is increased in proportion to the paid amount. When the above server automatically transmits information in response to a command from the user's terminal, actual value of the variable x is decreased by a numeric value corresponding to a stored consideration correlated with said information. If the actual value of the variable x were below the numeric value of the consideration, the server rejects provision of newer information.

  • Patent number: 6634977
Abstract: An engine is connected to a sun gear of a planetary gear train via a toroidal type continuously variable transmission; driven wheels are connected to a ring gear of the planetary gear train; and the sun gear and the ring gear are connected to each other by a first clutch. A shifter can connect a second clutch, which is connected to the engine, to a carrier of the planetary gear train or to the driven wheels. When the vehicle is started forward when a failure has occurred, by controlling the engagement force of the first clutch on the basis of the rotational rate of the engine and the ratio of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission and controlling the engagement force of the second clutch on the basis of the rotational rate of the engine while the second clutch is connected to the carrier by the shifter, it is possible to prevent the ratio of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission from changing beyond the LOW ratio or the OD ratio and generating an excessive load.

  • Patent number: 6616568
Abstract: The trunnion of the toroidal-type continuously variable transmission has a pair of journal portions disposed on a trunnion shaft and spaced from each other, a U-shaped eccentric portion disposed eccentric from the trunnion shaft and having two ends integrally connected to the mutually opposing end portions of the pair of journal portions, and a pivot shaft disposed in the eccentric portion for supporting a power roller in a space enclosed by the eccentric portion and the mutually opposing end portions of the pair of journal portions. The mutually opposing end portions of the pair of journal portions are connected together by a reinforcing member and the power roller is interposed between the eccentric portion of the trunnion and the reinforcing member, thereby being able to prevent the deformation of the trunnion due to a load applied thereto from the input and output disks through the power roller.

  • Patent number: 6494805
Abstract: An engine is connected to a sun gear of a planetary gear train via a toroidal type continuously variable transmission. Driven wheels of a vehicle are connected to a ring gear of the planetary gear train. The sun gear and the ring gear are connected to each other by a first clutch. A shifter can connect a second clutch connected to the engine either to a carrier of the planetary gear train or the driven wheels. When the vehicle is started when a failure of the electronic central system has occurred, by engaging the first and second clutches with predetermined engagement forces while the second clutch is connected to the carrier by the shifter, change of the ratio of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission beyond either the LOW ratio or the OD ratio is prevented so as to avoid generating an excessive load.
