  • Patent number: 8224228
Abstract: A cover closer having a drive unit for electrically opening and closing a cover of a copying machine or the like is described. The cover closer can ease the burden of manipulation of the cover and minimize the constraints on designing the main body of the copying machine and the like. The cover closer is provided with a compact drive unit having a high reduction ratio by the use of planetary gears which reduce the input torque necessary for opening and closing the cover, so as to downsize an electric motor used in the drive unit. The drive unit can therefore be installed within the hinge structure of the cover closer.

  • Publication number: 20050158597
Abstract: A fuel cell stack (1) housed in a case (2) generates power according to supply of hydrogen gas to a hydrogen gas passage (111) formed inside the case. The hydrogen gas passage (111) is sealed by a seal member (107). The case (2) is ventilated by a ventilation device (7). A sensor (8) detects the hydrogen concentration of gas which a ventilation device (7) discharges from the case (2). The controller (10) calculates a variation rate of the hydrogen concentration after supply of hydrogen gas to the hydrogen gas passage (111) starts (S2), and correctly diagnoses the deterioration state of the seal member (107) from the variation rate (S7, S71, S72).

  • Patent number: 5803633
Abstract: A printer for feeding printing sheets of different thicknesses including a sheet feeding roller 30 adapted to convey a printing sheet P. A pinch roller having a shaft 40a is provided and adapted to press a printing sheet against sheet feeding roller. A supporting member 41 is provided for rotatably supporting pinch roller 40 through shaft 41. An urging member 45 is provided for applying the pressing force through the supporting member to the pinch roller. A guide member 46, discrete from supporting member 41, is positioned by shaft 40a of pinch roller 30, and adapted to lead the front edge of the printing sheet to the nipping region of sheet feeding roller 30 and pinch roller 40.

  • Patent number: 4521153
Abstract: Herein disclosed is a blower which comprises a fan, means for driving said fan, a body housing or guard mounting said fan therein, a wind deflector mounted in the front opening of said body so that it can rotate in said front opening, and a rear guard mounted in the rear opening of said body. Said wind deflector is formed with changing vanes which are made receptive of the air wind generated by said fan for imparting a rotational force to said wind deflector. Moreover, the changing vanes are made at least partially so movable that they can be adjusted to have an arbitrary vane angle for changing a rotating speed on a rotating direction of said wind deflector.
