  • Patent number: 9480041
Abstract: Location information of a mobile communication terminal is registered promptly. When the mobile communication terminal receives a first location registration response signal, in which a predefined value indicative of a cause of rejecting the registration of the location information is set, the mobile communication terminal transmits a location registration request signal to a second mobile communication network when there is the second mobile communication network over which the mobile communication terminal can communicate, based on the predefined value. When it is determined that there is not the second mobile communication network or the location registration of the mobile communication terminal in the second mobile communication network is not completed, the mobile communication terminal carries out a first location registration operation of retransmitting the location registration request signal to the first mobile communication network.

  • Patent number: 8640674
Abstract: A surge tank 52 is placed above an engine main body 4. Plural intake runners 51 include curved portions 51C, respectively, which are placed on one side of the engine main body 4, and sloped portions 51D extending from the surge tank 52 to the curved portions 51C. An air cleaner 7 is placed above the sloped portions 51D. A liquid fuel injection unit 8 is placed in a space between the engine main body 4 and the intake runners 51. A gaseous fuel injection unit 11 is placed in a gap between the surge tank 52 and the air cleaner 7. Gaseous fuel injection valves 103 are held by a bracket on a gaseous fuel delivery pipe 10A in a way that they are placed under the air cleaner, each of them being placed in a space between the adjacent two of the sloped portions 51D.

  • Patent number: 8221823
Abstract: A diamond-like carbon film (DLC film) is formed on the surface of a base material made of an inorganic material, such as ceramics, or the like, or an organic material, such as resin, or the like. The surface of the resultant DLC film is treated with plasma, or the like, so as to be activated. Various monomers having biocompatibility, etc., are graft-polymerized to the activated surface of the DLC film, whereby a polymer layer is formed from the monomers grafted to the surface of the DLC film. Thus, the base material coated with the DLC film modified with a polymer which does not readily separate can be realized.

  • Patent number: 7904813
Abstract: A regular edition video of a video title is split into shots or scenes with time codes, and provided information, which is the semantic evaluation of the story, is added to the respective scenes to organize the scene score. Necessary scenes for each purpose are extracted on the basis of the scene score and a threshold value (process Pr14). Video characteristic evaluation information is added for each shot constituting each of the extracted scenes so as to organize the shot score (process Pr16). Optimum shots for each of the extracted scenes are selected on the basis of a predetermined rule suitable for the purpose (process Pr16). The optimum shots are sequentially cut out from the regular edition video (process Pr21), thus automatically organizing a preview video suitable for the purpose (process Pr22).

  • Publication number: 20100251993
Abstract: A bi-fuel internal combustion engine comprises an engine body having a cylinder axis inclined toward one side; a branched intake pipe extending from a cylinder head at an inclined upper face side of the engine body to the other side; liquid fuel injection valves for injecting liquid fuel to the intake pipe; and gas fuel injection valves for injecting a gas fuel to the intake pipe. The liquid fuel injection valves are arranged in the vicinity of the cylinder head at one side of the intake pipe, and the gas fuel injection valves are arranged at an upper side exceeding the highest position of a cylinder head cover mounted on the cylinder head at one side of the liquid fuel injection valves.

  • Publication number: 20100162550
Abstract: A screw attachment (10, 10?, 10?) disposed around a fastening piece (17) secured to a main fastening body (25a), the screw attachment sandwiched between a head (17b) of the fastening piece and a securing object (22) so that the screw attachment bears a securing force of the fastening piece to press the securing object. The screw attachment includes a pair of arms (12, 13) made of a shape restoring material. Each arm has a fore end, and the fore ends are joined to each other with an adhesive material that is softened when heated. The arms expands radially such that the screw attachment is released from the head of the fastening piece when heat or force is applied to the arms.

  • Publication number: 20060142065
Abstract: A switching station etc., are provided. When a mobile station moves from an area of a switching station into an area of another switching station having a VLR which has accepted the maximum number of subscribers, the switching station registers subscriber location information about the mobile station in an HLR even through it cannot register the subscriber service information in its VLR. When a call origination signal is transmitted from the mobile station, the switching station performs call origination connection processing by acquiring the subscriber service information about the mobile station from the HLR. When call termination to the mobile station occurs, the switching station can perform call termination processing normally since the subscriber location information is correctly updated in the HLR. The switching station performs call termination processing by acquiring the subscriber service information from the HLR.
