  • Publication number: 20120189663
Abstract: The present invention aims to produce a safe and reliable medical composition, which efficiently boosts nonspecific immunity of antigen-presenting cells and thereby promotes an antitumor activity. To produce the medical composition, antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells are exposed to an activating reagent containing baculoviruses. Then, the antigen-presenting cells are separated from the activating reagent. The antigen-presenting cells are optionally cultured after the separation. Furthermore, an absence of the baculoviruses in the composition are optionally checked. The medical composition produced by the present invention is expected to have an outstanding therapeutic effect.

  • Publication number: 20100329971
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel hydroxy radical generation method which relies on a novel scientific fact relating to the generation of a hydroxy radical and the inactivation of a virus. Also disclosed is an anti-viral material produced by utilizing the method. The anti-viral material comprises a metal oxide powder and a hydroxide which enable the generation of a hydroxy radical that can inactivate a virus. An virus can be inactivated by the action of the hydroxy radical generated from the anti-viral material.

  • Publication number: 20090041818
Abstract: An antiviral agent having been experimentally supported which contains a powder obtained by baking (calcining) dolomite and hydrating a part thereof. Thus, it is possible to provide an antiviral agent which is usable in masks, filters, etc. because of acting directly on viral particles, thus eliminating the infectious capacity of the virus and preventing the invasion of the virus into cells; and a mask and a filter with the use of the antiviral agent.

  • Publication number: 20060188428
Abstract: Disclosed is an additive for a plastic, comprising fine particles obtained by calcination and slaking of a dolomite which exhibits two endothermic peaks in the differential thermal analysis, said fine particles containing calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, magnesium oxide, calcium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide as main chemical components and also containing an ignition loss component in an amount of 10 to 40% by weight based on the weight of said fine particles. A plastic hating hydrogen chloride scavenging properties and antimicrobial properties imparted by incorporating the additive for a plastic is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6229558
Abstract: A printer has a printer body, a carriage for undergoing scanning movement over a print paper in a scanning direction, and a cassette removably connected to the printer body for storing print paper and having a code element indicative of photosensitive characteristics of the print paper. The print paper contains photosensitive microcapsules encapsulating a color developing material and a photo-curing material and has an image receiving layer for developing color by a reaction of the color developing material with the image receiving layer. The carriage has a light emitting element for emitting light of a preselected wavelength to which the photosensitive microcapsules are exposed to thereby form a latent image on the print paper. A photosensitive characteristics identifying mechanism is disposed on the carriage for reading the code element of the cassette to identify the photosensitive characteristics of the print paper.

  • Patent number: 6203222
Abstract: A head for a printer and an image processing system is provided in which light emitted from light emitting elements formed on a substrate of the head does not leak from pinholes of a non-corresponding light emitting elements and does not interfere with light emitted by other light emitting elements, so that satisfactory printing can be carried out. An aperture has on opposite ends sandwiching portions and covers a substrate to sandwich a carriage. Concave portions are formed correspondence with light emitting elements. Pinholes are provided in a front wall and an insulating black coat is formed on the surfaces of the concave portions to prevent a short circuit. Light from the light emitting elements which does not pass through the pinholes is absorbed by the surfaces of the concave portions.

  • Patent number: 5767302
Abstract: Two types of high-purity Ti complexes, ?TiO(DPM: dipivaloylmethane).sub.2 !.sub.2 and cis-Ti(O-t-Bu).sub.2 (DPM).sub.2, and BST film-forming liquid compositions comprising solutions of either of the two types of high-purity Ti complexes and Ba(DPM).sub.2 and/or Sr(DPM).sub.2 in organic solvents can be used to form BST films. Crystals of the former complex are produced by adding purified water to a solution of TiCl.sub.2 (DPM).sub.2 in an organic solution, adding an alkali chemical to the solution to adjust the pH to 6.0-8.0 to thereby produce turbidity, and separating the organic layer which is then washed with water and heated to reflux. Crystals of the latter complex is produced by adding HDPM to a solution of Ti(O-t-Bu).sub.4 in an organic solvent, and heating the solution to reflux.

  • Patent number: 4973963
Abstract: A plurality of waveguide elements are arranged to form an electromagnetic wave absorbing lattice in opposed relation to the advancing wave surface of the incident electromagnetic wave. Each waveguide element has a front opening on the lattice receptive of a part of the incident electromagnetic wave, a rear end portion spaced rearwardly from the front opening, and an inner peripheral surface portion extending between the front opening and the rear end portion to define a cavity effective to wave-guide the received electromagnetic wave. The inner peripheral surface portion has a given electric resistivity to effect absorption of the received electromagnetic wave during the wave-guiding thereof without substantial reflection thereof.
