  • Publication number: 20150241829
Abstract: To convey a sheet to a sheet processing device among multiple sheet processing devices configured to perform different types of sheet processing on a sheet to be output, a printing apparatus includes an acquisition unit, a generation unit, and a printing unit. The acquisition unit acquires information from the multiple sheet processing devices to identify sheet processing. The generation unit generates an adjustment test image containing indications for adjusting respective sheet processing amounts from a shared reference line based on the information on each of the multiple sheet processing devices that is acquired by the acquisition unit. The printing unit prints the adjustment test image generated by the generation unit.

  • Publication number: 20140353909
Abstract: A control apparatus discharges, into a stacking unit, sheets of a plurality of copies obtained by executing a first job that is set to print a plurality of copies, and discharges sheets of a plurality of copies obtained by executing a second job that is set to print a plurality of copies and follows the first job. The control apparatus carries out control so that a sheet discharge position for copies discharged by executing the first job changes from a first discharge position in the stacking unit to a second discharge position in the stacking unit between copies, and carries out control so that a sheet discharge position for the plurality of copies discharged by executing the second job changes from a third discharge position in the stacking unit to a fourth discharge position in the stacking unit between copies.

  • Patent number: 8746825
Abstract: When printing is to be performed on sheets by switching a plurality of sheet storage units and feeding the sheets, a user confirms, before the designated number of sheets is printed, whether the sheet matches a designated sheet type, and then instructs printing to be continued. Two or more sheet storage units among the plurality of sheet storage units are set as one group, and one sheet is conveyed from each of the two or more sheet storage units set as one group. An image is printed on the conveyed sheets which are then discharged to a sheet discharge unit, and printing is interrupted. If an instruction to continue the interrupted printing is received, control is performed to resume the interrupted printing.

  • Publication number: 20090031432
Abstract: A license management apparatus transfers license information from a transfer source device to a transfer destination device. The license information is required for enabling functions of a program package serving as an integrated product including a plurality of functions. The license management apparatus includes a management unit and a transfer unit. The management unit manages all or part of the plurality of functions as belonging to one group. After license information of functions included in the program package and managed by the management unit as belonging to the same group is acquired from the transfer source device, the transfer unit transfers license information of functions managed as belonging to the same group to the transfer destination device.

  • Patent number: 5913016
Abstract: An output control apparatus is interposed between a host computer for generating data and a printer, and controls the printer. The control apparatus includes a plurality of data generators, a discriminator, a controller and a notifying device. The data generators interpret a plurality of printer languages and perform control processing. The discriminator analyzes received data and specifies by which of the plurality of data generators control based upon the received data is to be carried out. The controller, in a case where one data generator is not specified by the discriminator and an error resulting from interpretation failure occurs during the course of processing by one data generator selected under prescribed conditions, causes the discriminator to re-execute processing based upon data in which the interpretation failure occurred. The notifying device notifies of a request for re-transmission of data in a case where one of the data generators is specified anew by the controller.
