  • Patent number: 6830036
Abstract: A fuel transfer pipe and a cylinder head of an engine in which a fuel injection device is restricted from being separated from each other by a restricting member. A pressing member is interposed between the fuel transfer pipe and the cylinder head to receive a restricting force of the restricting member presses the fuel transfer pipe to a side opposing the cylinder head and presses the fuel injection device to a side of the cylinder head by a reaction force against the restricting force.

  • Patent number: 6810199
Abstract: An information processing apparatus is connected to another information processing apparatus via a network and has at least one sub-unit for executing a predetermined function. A reservation is made for causing a tuner sub-unit of an IRD to receive a predetermined channel broadcast at a predetermined time and to record it on a VCR sub-unit of a DVCR via an IEEE-1394 serial data bus. Then, a controller of the IRD writes reservation information into a Resource Schedule Board (RSB) built into a Bulletin Board Subunit (BBS) of the IRD and also writes reservation information of the VCR sub-unit into a RSB built into a BBS of the DVCR. With this arrangement, double-booking is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20040206073
Abstract: An exhaust muffler system for use on a motorcycle or four-wheeled vehicle provides for operation in either of two modes, a regular configuration that provides a high degree of noise reduction, or a racing specification that provides for a freer-flowing exhaust. Without changing the main body of the muffler, an operator can choose between a quieter, public road setting or a louder, high performance setting. The muffler is provided with two interchangeable spark arresters, and a main body having multiple expansion chambers therein, defined by bulkheads. When a regular spark arrester is installed, exhaust gas passes through one bulkhead three times, greatly reducing the noise produced. With the spark arrester removed, the exhaust gas passes straight through to the open air, enhancing performance. A seal is provided between the bulkheads and the spark arrester, which provides for extension or retraction in the lengthwise direction of the tail pipe.

  • Publication number: 20040178016
Abstract: A high-performance exhaust silencer in which a shell wall includes a shell outer plate, a shell inner plate, and a damping material to be inserted therebetween. A space between the shell outer plate and shell inner plate of the exhaust silencer is narrowed and the shell outer plate and the shell inner plate will not interfere with each other. An outer shape of the exhaust silencer is small but the expansion chambers are large by providing an air space between the shell outer plate and the shell inner plate. For the above-mentioned damping material, a material obtained by stretchably weaving metal wire into mesh is used.

  • Publication number: 20040149462
Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to enable a crawler tractor to brake and stop certainly without applying a load to an engine and a driving mechanism, and without complicated operation. An operation link links a conic linkage (53) which links a steering wheel (7) with a main speed change lever (55) of the crawler tractor, and with an operation mechanism of a brake pedal (54). A neutral return mechanism for the operation link is provided. The operation link neutral return mechanism comprises a hook-like cam lever (61). When the brake pedal is depressed, the main speed change lever is moved to its neutral position before braking force occurs, and then, the brake is actuated. Accordingly, engine brake is used effectively, and the brake can be miniaturized.

  • Patent number: 6772076
Abstract: A conductor is represented by a line. A plane on which the conductor crosses a plurality of sides in the planes forming a cell is divided by the conductor. In the planes obtained by the division, a plane containing the position in which the magnetic field intensity is obtained is processed as one plane as is, and a plane not containing the position is added to an adjacent plane. On the side crossing the conductor, the two values of the field intensity are defined. That is, the magnetic field intensity is obtained through the integral loop containing the conductor for each of the divided plane processed as one plane, and the plane to which the divided plane not processed as one plane is added.

  • Publication number: 20030121719
Abstract: To make it possible to fit a vibration-proofing member into a hollow pipe, without impairing the appearance and without increasing the number of component parts. A hollow pipe formed by extrusion of a light alloy is integrally provided on an inside surface thereof with a rib extending along the longitudinal direction of the hollow pipe. A vibration-proofing member for restraining vibration of the hollow pipe is inserted in the hollow pipe so that the rib holds a position thereof in the hollow pipe in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction.

  • Patent number: 6546722
Abstract: A partitioning member for dividing a connecting pipe into at least two exhaust passageways is provided in the connecting pipe, which is attached to an exhaust side of a silencer. A valve mechanism is operable to vary the passageway area of one of the exhaust passageways. With this structure, for example, when an engine is rotating at low revs, exhaust gas is discharged from the exhaust passageway without the valve mechanism, while when the engine is rotating at high revs exhaust gas is simultaneously discharged from the exhaust passageway having no valve mechanism and a passageway provided with the valve mechanism. Therefore, it is possible to reduce exhaust noise when the engine is rotating at low revs.

  • Patent number: 6513064
Abstract: A controller of an IRD generates a provisional ID for uniquely identifying an Event within the unit. Then, an Event within the unit is read from a Resource Schedule Board (RSB), and a record ID (Event ID) of the Event is extracted. A provisional ID, which is different from the registered record IDs within the related unit, is searched for. The searched provisional ID is set to be the record ID and is combined with a global unique ID (GUID) of the unit, thereby generating an Object ID. As a result, the Object ID for uniquely identifying the Event within a bus is speedily determined.
