  • Patent number: 4537023
Abstract: In a regenerative gas turbine cycle in which heat recovery is carried out by a mixture of air/steam which is obtained by contact between water and a part of or the whole of compressed air, said compressed air being compressed by a compressor for compressing gas using air or air based gas as a combustion supporting/working medium gas; the improvement comprising: the mixture of air/steam and liquid phase cooled water being obtained through the contact between the compressed air and heated water which is used as heat recovering medium; said cooled water being used as heat recovering medium not only for heat recovery of turbine exhaust gas but also, for(a) intercooling of the compressor, and/or(b) precooling of compressed air for the contact operation;supplying water corresponding to the amount of water which contacts the compressed air and is lost by evaporation to the liquid phase water for contact or heat recovery as it is or after using as a heat recovering medium.

  • Patent number: 4451534
Abstract: A surface-modified synthetic fiber is provided by plasma irradiating a synthetic fiber containing fine particles. Recesses and projections are formed on the surface of the fiber. The recesses are formed by being etched with plasma in the portion not shielded by the fine particles; the projections are formed by not being etched in the portion shielded by the fine particles. The resulting fiber has an irregular surface such that the distance between the center points of adjacent projections is between approximately 0.03 and 1 microns and the number of projections is between approximately 1 and 200 per square micron.

  • Patent number: 4407681
Abstract: A high tensile steel which has a satisfactory yield strength of 60 kg/mm.sup.2 or more and excellent resistances to sulfide corrosive cracking and corrosion, and which comprises, as indispensable components, 0.05 to 0.50 wt % of C, 0.1 to 1.0 wt % of Si, 0.1 to 2.0 wt % of Mn, 0.05 to 1.50 wt % of Co and the balance consisting of Fe, is produced by hot- or cold-rolling it, rapidly heating the rolled steel to austenitize it, quenching the austenitized steel and, finally, tempering the quenched steel at a temperature not higher than the Ac.sub.1 point of the steel.

  • Patent number: 4308464
Abstract: A bulb type turbine generator in which upper and lower stay vanes house upper and lower oil tanks. The upper oil tank is connected to the rotary shaft bearing portion of the generator through an oil conduit and the lower tank is connected to a bearing portion. The oil conduits are disposed in the interior of the outer case so that oil passing through is cooled by the fluid flow. The outer casing together with the upper and lower stay vanes are divided to facilitate transportation and installation.
