Abstract: A safe loading-unloading system for a tray used with a compact disc player. The system has lock arms provided on slide plates which move longitudinally along the side walls of a player body during loading and provided with lock pins for the purpose of semi-fixing a tray loaded in the player body, and relief holes formed in first and second apertures which are so formed as to allow the lock arms to be inserted into the side walls of the player body and the slide plates such that the lock pins are brought into contact with the side walls except when the tray is in its initial loading position and pass through the relief holes in the initial loading position of the tray. By this structure, it is possible to safely prevent the loading and unloading of the tray during the reproduction and to utilize most conventinal system for practising the complete lock, allowig an increase in cost to be removed.

Abstract: Herein disclosed is a disc loading mechanism for use with a disc player such as a video or compact disc player of slot-in type including: disc playing means for playing a disc recorded with data when the disc is brought to a play position; and a casing accommodating the disc playing means therein and formed in its front side with a disc slot through which the disc is inserted directly into the casing.

Abstract: A device for preventing a tape cartridge from springing out from the cartridge entryway of a tape player upon cartridge ejection operation. This device includes a sliding member having one end provided with a roller projection into the cartridge entryway. The sliding member is adapted to slide on an inclined face so that the amount of the roller projecting into the cartridge entryway will increase as the roller and sliding member moves toward the insertion opening of the cartridge entryway, whereby the roller exerts a retaining pressure on the cartridge which increases as the cartridge moves toward the insertion opening of the entryway during cartridge ejection.
