  • Patent number: 9356448
Abstract: The present invention provides an electric power converting unit that does not require a change in a control method in, for example, system interconnection by calculating a target value of an output current of an electric power converter from an internal phase angle calculated from an active electric power control loop and an internal electromotive voltage calculated from a reactive electric power control loop. Thus, a stand-alone power supply system that is easy to handle can be configured.

  • Patent number: 7618569
Abstract: An attitude adjusting device (1) comprises a first roller (3), a second roller (5), a first stopper (7) and a second stopper (9). A golf ball (G) having a spew (B) is mounted on the first roller (3) and the second roller (5). Each of the first roller (3) and the second roller (5) includes a portion (11) having a small diameter. A groove (13) is formed on the surface of the portion (11) having a small diameter. With the rotations of the first roller (3) and the second roller (5), the golf ball (G) is rolled. When the spew (B) abuts on either or both of the first stopper (7) and the second stopper (9), the rolling is stopped. In a state in which the rolling is stopped, the spew (B) is extended in a horizontal direction. By the portion (11) having a small diameter and the groove (13), the rolling of the golf ball (G) is promoted.

  • Patent number: 6846442
Abstract: A process for producing a golf ball which includes the steps of placing a rubber composition into the cavity of a mold having an upper portion and a lower portion, clamping the upper portion and the lower portion together at a moving velocity of from 0.03. mm/s to 1.0 mm/s, causing excess rubber composition to flow out from the cavities; and unclamping the mold and removing from the mold cavity spherical bodies and associated rubber flashers formed in the mold cavities.

  • Patent number: 6838036
Abstract: A golf ball 1 has a core 2 and a cover 3. For molding a core 2, a rubber composition is extruded from a kneading machine, and cut at a predetermined length to obtain a preforming material. The preforming material is placed in a mold and the mold is clamped. An upper portion and lower portion of the mold mate for more than or equal to 15 seconds, and thereafter they are unclamped until a clearance between the upper and lower portions becomes from 3 mm to 8 mm, then, the mold is shut. The shutting time is determined to be from 0.5 second to 5.0 seconds. By this unclamping of the mold, a residual air in a spherical cavity is released, which results in elimination of defective products.

  • Patent number: 6597445
Abstract: A seam position deciding apparatus (1) comprises a light source (3), a camera (5) and a computer (7). The computer (7) has operating means (for example, a CPU) and storage means (for example, an RAM) provided therein. Rays are irradiated from the light source (3) toward a golf ball (9). The golf ball (9) is rotated. The camera (5) photographs the golf ball (9). Data on an image thus photographed have a white pixel and a black pixel. If there is the white pixel in a predetermined region of the image, it is decided that a seam is not horizontal. On the other hand, if there is no white pixel in the same region, it is decided that the seam is horizontal. In the seam position deciding apparatus (1), it is possible to decide, with high precision, whether or not the seam of the golf ball (9) is placed in a predetermined position.

  • Publication number: 20030090033
Abstract: Golf ball 1 includes a core 2 and a cover 3. The core 2 has two layers including a center 4 and a mid layer 5. Upon molding the core 2, the center 4 covered by two half shells are first placed into a mold. Next, the lower portion of the mold moves upwards at a moving velocity of equal to or greater than 3.0 mm/s. The upward movement is terminated at a time point when the space between the upper portion and the lower portion becomes from 5 mm to 30 mm. Next, the lower portion is further moved upwards at a moving velocity of from 0.03 mm/s to 1.0 mm/s while having the rubber composition outflow form the cavity. The upper portion and the lower portion are then brought into contact. Next, the rubber composition within the cavity is crosslinked to form the mid layer 5. At the same time, the rubber composition that flowed out is cured to form a ring-shaped molding flash. The mold is unclamped, and the core 2 and the molding flash are removed.
