The determination unit determines timing of advance acquisition of the video content from the distribution apparatus based upon the information on the communication speed acquired by the speed information acquisition unit. The content acquisition unit acquires the video content in advance from the distribution apparatus at the timing of advance acquisition determined by the determination unit.
