  • Publication number: 20240094577
Abstract: Provided is a liquid crystal display device capable of switching between a transparent state and a scattering state, reducing or preventing a decrease in transmittance in the transparent state, and reducing or preventing a decrease in luminance in the panel central portion in the scattering state. The liquid crystal display device includes, sequentially from its viewing surface side toward its back surface side: a first liquid crystal panel; a light source; and a second liquid crystal panel, the first liquid crystal panel including a polymer dispersed liquid crystal containing a polymer network and liquid crystal components, the light source being configured to irradiate a back surface side main surface of the first liquid crystal panel with light from an oblique direction.

  • Patent number: 9920441
Abstract: An ozonated water generating device includes a first housing, a second housing on the first housing, and a catalytic electrode disposed in a space in the first and second housings. The catalytic electrode includes an anode, a cation exchange membrane, and a cathode. The device includes a cushion at least one between the anode and the first housing and between the cathode and the second housing, and at least one pusher in at least one of the first housing and the second housing. The pusher penetrates the first or second housing to push the cushion toward the catalytic electrode, or to directly push the catalytic electrode. The pusher is positioned to ensure pushing on at least the center of the catalytic electrode. And the pressure of the pusher brings the anode, the cation exchange membrane, and the cathode into pressure contact with each other.

  • Patent number: 9625405
Abstract: An ozone water concentration measurement apparatus that is capable of measuring ozone concentrations with high accuracy and without using an electrolyte brings at least a counter electrode and a working electrode into contact with ozone water, which is a sample solution (S), applies voltage between the counter electrode and the working electrode, and measures the current value at that voltage, to thereby calculate the ozone concentration in the ozone water. In the ozone water concentration measurement apparatus, the working electrode is a conductive diamond electrode, and the surface area that contacts the ozone water of the working electrode is within the range of 628 to 392,500 ?m2.

  • Patent number: 5192320
Abstract: A membrane-type artificial lung adapted to perform exchange of gases between blood and a gas through a membrane by passing blood over one side of the membrane and oxygen or an oxygen-containing gas over the other side, said membrane being a hollow fiber membrane which is composed mainly of a polyolefin, has an inside diameter of 10 to 500 micrometers, a thickness of 5 to 100 micrometers, a porosity of 7 to 50% and an oxygen flux, Q(O.sub.2), of at least 1.times.10.sup.-6 [cm.sup.3 (STP)/(cm.sup.2.sec.cmHg)] and is substantially impermeable to ethanol.
