  • Patent number: 7224072
Abstract: A mounting structure of a ball grid array type IC includes resin guide ribs provided on opposite sides of a body portion of the ball grid array type IC, engaging pawls formed at distal ends of the guide ribs so as to be locked into locking holes of a board, springs in which the guide ribs are inserted respectively, and height adjusting ribs provided at places slightly inwardly distant from the guide ribs respectively so as to protrude from the body portion. The springs prevent the ball grid array type IC from being strongly pressed against the board when the ball grid array type IC is mounted on the board. The height adjusting ribs adjust the ball grid array type IC to a predetermined height relative to the board.

  • Patent number: 7016435
Abstract: A digital broadcast receiver has a function of selecting, at the time of receiving a digital broadcast, signals to be fed back to an AGC circuit depending on whether an analog broadcast channel exists adjacent to a channel to be received or not. When an analog broadcast channel exists adjacent to a channel to be received, a feedback system change-over switch is connected to a second feedback system and the voltage level of analog signals detected by an analog signal level detecting circuit is fed back. When an analog broadcast channel does not exist adjacent to the channel to be received, the feedback system change-over switch is connected to a first feedback system, and the voltage level of digital signals in a demodulating IC detected by a digital signal level detecting circuit is fed back. In such a manner, reception performance is improved.

  • Patent number: 6215739
Abstract: A disc apparatus includes a micro-computer. The micro-computer causes a pickup to move to a predetermined position. A track pitch is calculated from a distance over which the pickup has moved and a number of tracks detected during the movement thereof over that distance. In response to a track jump command, tracks to be jumped over are determined in number by the distance from a center of a disc to a current position, a distance from the center of the disc to a target position, and a track pitch measured.

  • Patent number: 6064633
Abstract: A disc apparatus includes a micro-computer. The micro-computer predicts a number of tracks for deceleration from a total number of tracks to be jumped, to thereby calculate a number of tracks for acceleration from the number of tracks for deceleration and the total number of tracks. A thread motor is accelerated until a number of tracks being jumped becomes equal to the number of tracks for acceleration. Thereafter, the thread motor is decelerated to a rotational speed lower than a determined value.
