Abstract: A method for processing a silver halide color photographic material including the step of developing the silver halide color photographic material with a color developing solution containing at least one aromatic primary amine developing agent and at least one hydrazide represented by the following formula (I) or (II)R.sup.1 --X.sup.1 --NHNH--R.sup.2 (I)in whichX.sup.1 represents --CO--, --SO.sub.2 -- or ##STR1## R.sup.1 represents a hydroxyl group, a hydroxyamino group, carbamoyl group, a hydrazinocarbonyl group, an amino group, or a hydrazino group; and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an aryl group; provided that the R.sup.1 or R.sup.2 groups of at least two of the hydrazide groups may be linked to form a dimer or higher polymer of the hydrazide.R.sup.3 --X.sup.2 --NHNH--R.sup.4 (II)in whichX.sup.2 represents --CO-- or --SO.sub.2 --; R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group, an alkoxy group, or an aryloxy group; and R.sup.

Abstract: A method for processing a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprises the steps of developing the light-sensitive material with a color developer containing an aromatic primary amine color developing agent, desilvering, washing with water and/or stabilizing the material in which at least one processing solution used in at least one step of the processing contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of sulfinic acids and salts and precursors thereof. This method makes it possible to effectively prevent the formation of stains due to not only the components of the light-sensitive material per se but also those attributable to the processing solutions, during processing or storage with time, and to enhance the stability of processing solutions.

Abstract: A method for processing a silver halide color photographic material is described, which comprises treating said material after imagewise exposure with a color developer containing an aromatic primary amine developing agent and at least one compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## in which X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 each represents a divalent organic group. In accordance with this method, the stability and color-forming capacity of the color developer are remarkably improved, the increment of fog during continuous processing of photographic material is greatly reduced, and the color developer need not substantially contain benzyl alcohol.

Abstract: A developing solution composition for a silver halide color photographic material is described, comprising an aromatic primary amine color developing agent and a compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which may be the same or different each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; R.sup.3 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group; and the total number of carbon atoms contained in R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 is at least 3.The color developer composition has improved stability and color forming properties and remarkably limits fog formation during continuous processing.
