  • Patent number: 10948166
Abstract: Hinge devices couple light source units to a base such that the light source units are rotatable around first axes. Each light source unit is rotatable between a first position and a second position around a corresponding first axis of the first axes. Rotation mechanisms couple the light source units to the hinge devices such that the light source units are rotatable around second axes transverse to the first axes. The hinge devices are configured such that when each light source unit rotates from the first position to the second position, rotation directions of the light source units are different. The rotation mechanisms define rotation ranges of the light source units around the second axes to achieve a reference state where the light source units are collected together and light-outgoing surfaces of the light source units face outward when each light source unit is in the first position.

  • Patent number: 8084981
Abstract: In a rechargeable electric power tool, upon changeover of a trigger switch, a microcomputer determines the magnitude relation between the detected temperature outputted from the first thermistor and the first temperature threshold value, the second temperature threshold value and the third temperature threshold value, and the magnitude relation between the first calculated temperature increase rate and the first preset temperature increase rate. If the detected temperature is determined to be greater than the first temperature threshold value or if the first calculated temperature increase rate is determined to be greater than the first preset temperature increase rate after the detected temperature has been determined to be greater than the second temperature threshold value, the microcomputer is set in a limited operation mode in which the revolution number of the motor is limited to a predetermined value or less.

  • Patent number: 7997352
Abstract: An electric power tool includes a tool body and a battery pack removably mounted to the tool body. The battery pack is used as a power source of the tool body. The electric power tool further includes a lock unit for keeping the battery pack mounted to the tool body and an interrupter switch for interrupting the operation of the tool body when the lock unit does not keep the battery pack mounted to the tool body. Accordingly, the electric power tool is not operable when the battery pack is not completely mounted to the tool body.

  • Patent number: 6892827
Abstract: A vibrating drill/driver includes a motor for driving a spindle about the longitudinal axis thereof, a switching handle supported for rotation about a longitudinal axis thereof, a clutch mechanism for varying a working torque in dependence on rotation of the switching handle, a switching ring having a recess and capable of rotating together with the switching handle, and a switching plate having a tip for engagement in the recess. A vibrating cam mechanism is provided to be operable to undergo a slidable engagement to provide a vibration for the spindle in an axial direction thereof when the tip of the switching plate is engaged in the recess of the switching ring. With the above-described construction, the rotation of the switching handle in one direction causes the vibrating drill/driver to be set in one of a clutch mode, a vibrating mode, and a drilling mode in this order.

  • Patent number: 6683396
Abstract: A portable motor powered device capable of operating on a cordless battery pack as well as a corded power pack, yet enabling to reduce the size and weight of the corded power pack to be truly compatible with the corded battery pack in size and weight. The device has a housing accommodating therein a DC motor as a power source. The cordless battery pack is detachably connected to the housing and has a battery which supplies a low DC voltage for operating the DC motor. The corded power pack is detachably connected to the housing and supplies a high DC voltage for operating the DC motor. The corded power pack includes a power cord adapted to be connected to receive an AC source voltage and a converter for converting the AC source voltage into the high DC voltage. The DC motor has a rotor provided with first and second windings which are selectively connected to receive low and high DC voltages respectively from the cordless battery pack and the corded power pack.
