  • Patent number: 9103945
Abstract: An atmospheric pressure tendency informing apparatus and atmospheric pressure tendency informing method inform atmospheric pressure tendency. In one implementation, the atmospheric pressure tendency informing apparatus includes: an informing section, an atmospheric pressure measuring section, an atmospheric pressure inflection point judging section and an informing control section. The atmospheric pressure inflection point judging section judges whether there is an inflection point of atmospheric pressure, based on atmospheric pressure values of at least three points of time including an atmospheric pressure value measured at present. The informing control section controls the informing section to inform the inflection point of atmospheric pressure as the atmospheric pressure tendency based on a judgment result when the atmospheric pressure inflection point judging section judges there is an inflection point of atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 7314450
Abstract: The wearable heartbeat measuring device is accomplished by wearing a wrist-watch-like heart monitor device on the wrist. The heart monitor is worn on the top of the wrist with a strap around the wrist. The strap has an inflexible extending portion that extends from the heart monitor at a predetermined angle and a predetermined width with respect to the wrist so that a predetermined space is maintained between the top portion of the wrist and the strap for promoting the transfer efficiency of the pulsation force that is initially experienced at a part of the strap at the bottom of the wrist. The strap also has a flexible portion. A predetermined angle and a predetermined width of the extended portion also facilitate the flexible portion to form a flat area where the wrist contacts the strap. In the prefer embodiments, the width of the strap exceeds the width of the wrist when it is worn.

  • Patent number: 6559794
Abstract: A position determining system, a receiving system, a method of determining the position of a movable object and a method of receiving data regarding the position of the movable object are provided. The position determining system comprise a position determining unit, a display unit and a controller. The position determining unit determines the position of a movable object based on position information sent from GPS satellites. The display unit displays the position of the movable object which has been determined by the position determining unit. The controller controls a time interval at which the position of the movable object is determined by said position determining unit, in accordance with a degree of position change occurring in the position to be displayed on the display unit. Accordingly, in the position determining system, elimination of consumption power can be realized in a position determination process which is not necessarily performed, while the system is advantageously handled.
