  • Patent number: 4830582
Abstract: In a rotary type compressing apparatus, a check valve is positioned in a refrigerant gas inhalation unit, and an exhaust valve is positioned in a refrigerant gas exhaust unit. In addition, a control valve is employed at an inlet section of an exhaust pipe. One end of this exhaust pipe is opened inside a muffler which forms airtight space within a closed case. This control valve is actuated by means of a slider valve body by receiving specific pressure.

  • Patent number: 4711617
Abstract: In a rotary compressor for compressing a refrigerant gas by a compressor element adapted to be rotated by an electric motor, the improvement comprises a cylindrical member provided inside or outside the closed container and communicated with the first intake passage and with the first discharge passage; a second intake passage communicated with the cylindrical member and with the compressor element; a second discharge passage communicated with the cylindrical member and within the closed container; a first communication passage for communicating the second intake passage with one end of the cylindrical member; a second communication passage for communicating the closed container with the other end of the cylindrical member; and a valve member provided in the cylindrical member; and a spring which urges the end of the valve near the first communication passage; the valve member being moved to a first position to communicate the first intake pasage with the second intake passage and also communicate the first d

  • Patent number: 4645429
Abstract: The discharge gas which has been compressed by the compressor main body is cooled by heat dissipation through the heat exchanger, after which it is again returned to the compressor. When the lubricant oil is sucked under pressure of the discharge gas, it is also cooled. Each and every component part of the compressor main body and the electric motor is cooled by causing the cooled discharge gas to pass there through, whereby the temperature rise in the compressor as a whole can be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 4628963
Abstract: A discharge valve for a refrigerant compressor includes a leaf spring 10 for biasing a flexible valve plate 9 which opens and closes a refrigerant discharge port 8. The leaf spring has a centrally deformed portion which engages an intermediate portion of the valve plate. During the initial opening of the discharge port, no spring force is applied to the free end 9a of the valve plate to thereby reduce any opening delay and increase the efficiency of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 4624630
Abstract: The lubricating oil pool 11 in the bottom of the shell 1 of a rolling piston refrigerant gas compressor is communicated directly with the space 16 inside the cylindrical piston 4 via a supply passage 10c in a side plate 10. Sufficient clearance is provided between the ends of the piston and the compressor side plates 9, 10 to enable limited communication between the space 16 and the compression and suction chambers 6, 18. The compressor discharge is supplied to the space 7 within the shell, and the resultant differential pressure applied to opposite ends of the supply passage causes a steady flow of oil into the piston interior to properly lubricate the moving parts of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 4611473
Abstract: The number of potentially rupturable brazed refrigerant tubing connections in a refrigeration system is reduced by crimping the check valve 14a directly within a tubing section 14b prior to its bending and assembly, either upstream or downstream of the accumulator/separator 16.

  • Patent number: 4592705
Abstract: The vane slot 20 and lubricating oil passageway 21 in the cylinder member 3 of a rotary vane compressor are configured such that the radial length of the slot wall 20a on the low pressure side of the vane 5 is less than that of the opposite wall 20b on the high pressure side. Such a shortened low pressure side slot wall reduces wear by providing improved lubrication at the critical inward edge of the slot (F1), and facilitates the flushing away of abrasive particles formed during the initial seating of the vane. For a horizontal installation the lubricating oil level is maintained below the radially outermost edge of the wall 20a to prevent the oil from being drawn into the low pressure chamber 17 when the compressor is stopped.

  • Patent number: 4569645
Abstract: A rotary compressor comprises a compression chamber defined by enclosing both ends of a cylinder with a main bearing and an end bearing; compression elements including a piston which is eccentrically rotated by a crank shaft within the compression chamber, and dividing the compression chamber into a high pressure chamber and a low pressure chamber; and a sealed container to be a plenum space, in which the compression elements are housed and lubricating oil is sumped at the inner bottom section of the sealed container to effect lubrication of sliding parts of the compression elements, wherein the lubricating oil is returned into the sealed container after it has been cooled through a heat-exchanger provided outside the sealed container.
