  • Publication number: 20060246043
Abstract: The present invention provides a cellular preparation wherein cells capable of secreting biologically active factors such as hormones or proteins useful for patients can be retained in polyvinyl alcohol stably for a prolonged period of time and a production method of the cellular preparation, and a method for prevention and treatment of endocrine/metabolic disease, hemophilia, bone disease or cancer by administration of the cellular preparation to patients.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 10, 2003
    Publication date: November 2, 2006
Inventors: Kazutomo Inoue, Yuanjun Gu, Shoichiro Sumi
  • Publication number: 20060210550
Abstract: It is intended to provide an angiogenesis inducer comprising fibrin which is safe to a living body. The angiogenesis inducer is characterized by being capable of safely inducing angiogenesis when administered to a living body, which makes it possible to achieve functional regeneration of living tissues or organs suffering from dysfunction or malfunction.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 28, 2003
    Publication date: September 21, 2006
Inventors: Kazutomo Inoue, Yuanjun Gu, Dohoon Kim
  • Publication number: 20040072344
Abstract: The present invention provides a 4-step method for inducing differentiation of embryonic stem cells into functioning cells comprising 1) expanding ES cells; 2) inducing Embryoid Bodies in the presence of leukemia inhibitory factor and basic FGF; 3) selection expanding of the EBs and 4) differentiation. According to the present invention, ES cells can be differentiated into either insulin producing pancreatic islet like cell clusters or nerve like cells. Thus obtained functioning cells may be potential sources of donor cells in cell transplant therapy for many patients.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 25, 2003
    Publication date: April 15, 2004
Inventors: Kazutomo Inoue, Dohoon Kim, Yanjun Gu, Michiyo Ishii
