  • Patent number: 7903198
Abstract: The present invention relate to a liquid crystal display device using a light emitting diode (LED) module as a light source for backlight. Storing portions (21a-21e) are provided at positions facing a light emitting diode modules (25) on a light guide plate (21) constituting the backlight, and the light emitting diode modules (25) are inserted into the storing portions (21a-21e). Furthermore, under a status where an insulating substrate (26) mounted with the light emitting diode modules (25) is held by a holding plate (28), the holding plate (28) is removably attached to a heat sink substrate (27). The backlight has a structure wherein the light emitting diode module (25) can be replaced. Furthermore, since heat generated at the light emitting diode module (25) can be efficiently dissipated to the heat sink substrate (27), temperature increase of the light emitting diode module (25) is suppressed, and lifetime can be lengthened, and deterioration of luminous efficiency can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5342713
Abstract: The present invention relates to a phase shifting mask for use in a photolithographic process of forming a wiring pattern. The phase shifting mask comprises a transparent base plate (11), shading layers (12) formed selectively on the transparent base plate (11), and two kinds of phase shifting layers (13a, 13b) formed on transparent portions of the transparent base plate between the adjacent shading layers, respectively. The phase difference of the two kinds of phase shifting layers (13a, 13b) relative to the transparent base plate (11) is 90.degree., and the phase difference between the phase shifting layers is 180.degree.. The transfer of an unnecessary pattern in the shifter edge portion can be obviated by using the shading layers having a phase difference of 90.degree. relative to the transparent base plate.

  • Patent number: 4789707
Abstract: There is disclosed a coating resin composition which contains as a crosslinking agent a melamine-formaldehyde resin which permits a paint to cure at low temperatures, permits a paint to form a coating film flexible enough for the fabrication of the coated substrate, gives off only a small amount of formaldehyde at the time of paint application, and makes it possible to increase the solids content in a paint. The melamine-formaldehyde resin is a mixed alkyl etherified methylol melamine resin, and the other composition-constituting component is an alkyd resin, polyester resin, or vinyl copolymer.

  • Patent number: 4271214
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for recovering acrylic resin from an excess of a sprayed powder coating composition. An excess of the powder coating composition which is not deposited onto an article to be coated and is recovered in a coating apparatus is dissolved in an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent which dissolves the acrylic resin component and which has a solubility of a curing agent of not more than 1.0 g (curing agent)/100 g (solvent) at 20.degree. C. and the acrylic resin component is recovered from the resin solution. The acrylic resin component thus recovered can be reused as a resin component for coating compositions.
