  • Publication number: 20080138385
Abstract: An antibacterial composition containing an organic antibacterial agent and an inorganic antibacterial agent is provided. Zirconium phosphate having supported thereon silver or copper or a salt thereof may be used as the inorganic antibacterial agent, and 2-mercaptopyridine-N-oxide sodium, carbendazim (methyl 1H-2-benzimidazole carbamate), or thiabendazole (2-(4-thiazolyl)-1H-benzimidazole) may be used as the organic antibacterial agent. Those components contain no halogen, so the antibacterial composition can be made halogen-free. The antibacterial composition may be applied to form an antibacterial molding, for example, by molding it together with a resin material or applying it together with a coating agent on a resin molding.

  • Patent number: 5761061
Abstract: There is disclosed a backup circuit for a memory card where the stored data in an S-RAM is retained even when the card (2) contains a main battery (18) whose output voltage is 3.3 V, an auxiliary battery (20), and a charging prevention diode (22). The main battery (18) and the auxiliary battery (20) are connected in parallel. Between their junction (28) and a built-in power supply (8) of a personal computer (4), the charging prevention diode (22) is provided. Because the second diode (22) is placed in a forward direction running from the junction (28) toward a voltage supply line (10), the auxiliary battery (20) is charged only from the main battery (18), and a charging current from the built-in power supply (8) does not flow into the auxiliary battery (20).

  • Patent number: 5729736
Abstract: A method and a system for analyzing the operation of a parallel data system are disclosed. The history information of the access executed by a specific processor that has received a request for access to a plurality of data bases connected to a plurality of processors, the ID of the specific processor and the accessed data amount are collected and stored in a memory. The history information is compared with the time assumed from a predetermined time specified for the access to a unit amount of data in data bases, deciding whether the former is reasonable or longer than the latter. The transfer history information for the processor that has transferred an access request to the specific processor executing the access is compared with a predetermined transfer time specified for a unit amount of data, deciding whether the transfer time between the two processors is longer than an assumed transfer time.

  • Patent number: 5711679
Abstract: A memory card connector which comprises a header (210, 210') and a carrier connected to the header, wherein the header is provided with a plurality of pins extended in both inward and outward directions. The inward pins are used for inserting a memory card to be received in the carrier. A vertical circuit board (214, 214') is electrically and securely connected to the outward pins of the header. The lower end of the vertical circuit board is detachably inserted into a connector (203, 203') securely mounted to the surface of a mainboard for electrical connection. Alternately a horizontal circuit board may be used to which the outward pins are diagonally attached and which is connected to the mainboard by a vertical connector. The height of the circuit board can be set according to the requirement of a specific application of the memory card connector so that the space between the memory card connector and the mainboard can be properly utilized.

  • Patent number: 4151217
Abstract: The formation and accumulation of coke or other reaction by-products of olefins produced by the pyrolysis of hydrocarbons is prevented. This is accomplished by maintaining the transfer portion extending from the outlet port of the pyrolysis reaction tube to the multi-tubular quenching device at a temperature below 450.degree. C. This technique is especially applicable to the manufacture of olefins by the pyrolysis of hydrocarbons which are gaseous at room temperature under atmospheric pressure or liquid hydrocarbons having a volumetric average boiling point of below 90.degree. C., at temperatures ranging from 750.degree. to 900.degree. C., followed by quenching in a multi-tubular quenching apparatus. It is only necessary to cool the transfer portions to a temperature below 450.degree. C. in those areas where cracked gas is flowing at a flow rate below 50 kg/m.sup.2 per sec.
