  • Publication number: 20020038979
Abstract: It is possible to achieve a light structure by making a part of a core bar thin and to prevent an elastic body from strain deforming by a smooth rib reinforcing portion from which an edge portion of the core bar does not protrude. It, is possible to secure a strength even when piercing a hole in the core bar and to prevent the elastic body from being cut by an edge portion of a hole. Accordingly, in a core bar (10) of an elastic body track shoe fastened to each pair of joint links of a crawler by bolts, recess portions (1a, 1b) formed in a substantially inverse-trapezoidal shape or recess portions (10a, 10b) formed in a substantially inverse-trapezoidal shape toward front end portions are formed in non-grounded surface sides of right and left wing portions in a direction of a crawler width. A recess portion (1e) formed in a substantially inverse-trapezoidal shape or a through hole (1f) may be formed in a center portion.

  • Publication number: 20020024256
Abstract: A rubber crawler belt with preferable riding quality without the fear of breakage is provided. For this purpose, a pattern of a lug (4) provided on an outer circumferential side of a rubber belt (2) has a central lug portion (5) provided to continuously extend around a center portion in a width direction of the outer circumference of the rubber belt (2), in a waveform, and a plurality of branch lug portions (6) each having a predetermined width and provided from said central lug portion (5) toward left and right end portions of the rubber belt (2) to be away therefrom diagonally in a circumferential direction, and an interval between the branched lug portions (6) adjacent to each other being the same as an interval between the drive protrusions (3), in the circumferential direction of the rubber belt (2).

  • Patent number: 5813733
Abstract: The present invention is a metal core member for a rubber crawler belt, the rubber crawler belt, and a method of winding the same, and can prevent fall-off of the crawler belt, resulting from a flange portion of an idler wheel running on a rail surface of the metal core member. For this purpose, the metal core members (10, 20), which are buried equidistantly in the rubber crawler belt (5), are equipped with guide slopes for facilitating entry of the flange portion (4a) of the idler wheel at the time of a vehicle reversing, on the inner side surfaces of a pair of protuberances (13, 14, 23, 24) provided at the central portion of the rubber crawler belt (5) in its transverse direction. The slope angle (.theta.) of the guide slopes is in the range of 5.degree. to 15.degree., and the length (L.sub.R) of the guide slope is preferably as great as possible.

  • Patent number: 5380076
Abstract: The rubber crawler belt, employed in a tracked vehicle such as a construction machine, is a short pitch crawler belt which reduces the level of vibrations and noise caused during travelling of the vehicle, increases tractive power and rigidity of the crawler belt, and reduces bending strain of the crawler belt and abrasion of the lug. A rubber crawler belt has a construction wherein core members (1) are embedded in the rubber crawler belt and arranged so as to engage serially with every tooth of a drive wheel. Each core member has an engaging portion (2) for engaging with the drive wheel and which is provided in a widthwise central portion of the core member. Each of the right and left sides of the engaging portion is continuously provided with a guide projection (3), a rolling rail surface (4) and a wing portion (5). The front-rear directional dimension of the engaging portion A and the front-rear directional dimension of the wing portions are approximately the same.
