    Abstract: A wireless communication system according to one aspect of the present invention includes a provisioning device, a gateway, and a management device. The provisioning device sets to a wireless device, provisioning information required for the wireless device to join a wireless communication network. The gateway determines, using the provisioning information set by the provisioning device, whether or not to allow the wireless device to join the wireless communication network. The management device manages join history information including the provisioning information set by the provisioning device and join information associated with the provisioning information, the join information indicating a result of the determination by the gateway, and provides the join history information to the provisioning device in response to a request from the setting device.

The second certificate certifies that the management device is a formal management device and includes a second public key. Apparatus information required for the wireless device to join the wireless network is encoded using the first public key and is output to the wireless device. Management information including the apparatus information and the identification information associated with the apparatus information is encoded using the second public key and is output to the management device.
