  • Publication number: 20120308941
Abstract: A method and a device are disclosed with which high-temperature combustion is attained using a fuel and an aqueous solution of an organic compound, e.g., an aqueous alcohol solution. In a combustion chamber, a fuel is sprayed and burned with a first burner to elevate the interior temperature of the combustion chamber (and/or a heat-resistant reflector disposed inside the combustion chamber) to a high temperature of 700° C. or above, and an aqueous solution of an organic compound (e.g., an alcohol-water mixture) is subsequently sprayed with a second burner into the high-temperature combustion gas obtained with the first burner, thereby causing microexplosion of water vaper and further elevating the interior temperature. As such, the fuels and organic compounds (e.g., Alcoholic aqueous solution) are fully burned, and thus the fuel cost can be reduced. Thus, high-temperature superheated steam containing a large amount of water vapor is yielded.

  • Patent number: 6227694
Abstract: Two or more substances are flowed from different inflow passages, and collided against each other at a flow rate of 4 m/sec or higher to cause a uniform reaction with each other for a short time. This method is advantageous for producing a dispersion liquid containing very fine particles the size of submicrons.

  • Patent number: 6171070
Abstract: A high-pressure reciprocating pump is constructed such that a plurality of plungers connected to a driver are made to move back and forth and intake channels or discharge channels are opened and closed by valves in synchronism with movements of the plungers for transferring a fluid under high pressure.

  • Patent number: 5984519
Abstract: In a fine particle producing device, particles of a substance contained in a fluid are caused to collide with each other under extremely high pressure, whereby the particles are emulsified, dispersed or reduced to finer particles in the fluid in an instant. One of the blocks mounted in a cylindrical sealed casing has a pair of curved channel portions for guiding converging high-speed fluid streams and a turbulence pocket formed at a position where the curved channel portions are joined for temporarily holding fluid turbulence caused by collision of the high-speed fluid streams.
