  • Patent number: 8302719
Abstract: A vehicle including an energy stocking mechanism having an elastic member connected to the driving wheel of the vehicle so that power of the driving wheel is stocked as elastic force in the elastic member and the stocked elastic force is output as power to the driving wheel, and an output limiter that holds the energy stocking mechanism when the elastic force is stocked in the elastic member and releases the holding of the energy stocking mechanism to output the elastic force when the vehicle starts running. A power stocking source for stocking elastic force into the energy stocking mechanism is installed in the vehicle or a station at which the vehicle stops, and connected to the energy stocking mechanism so that power from the power stocking source is applied to the energy stocking mechanism and stocked as the elastic force in the energy stocking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6539606
Abstract: A metal ring having a greatest circumferential length is held in the shape of a substantially true circle, and other metal rings are arrayed in the order of increasing circumferential length toward the metal ring of the greatest circumferential length. At least three holder rods are lowered into the metal rings to hold the metal rings in substantially coaxial alignment with each other. Presser rods are pressed from outside of the metal rings toward the center of the metal rings, thereby deforming the metal rings into a shape including curved portions projecting radially and having a reduced diameter. The deformed metal rings are delivered successively in the array from terminal ends of the presser rods into the metal ring of the greatest circumferential length. The deformed metal rings that are released off the presser rods restore their original shape within the metal ring of the greatest circumferential length, and are laminated to the metal ring of the greatest circumferential length.

  • Patent number: 5795256
Abstract: A jig apparatus is used in extending a belt across a pair of pulleys of a variator for a transmission of a motor vehicle. The variator has the pair of pulleys, a groove width of each of which is variable, and a belt for driving the pulleys. A supporting bar and a supporting pipe hold the pulleys such that an axial line of rotation of each of the pulleys becomes parallel to each other. A groove width of at least one of the pulleys is pneumatically or mechanically widened. A sheave half of each of the pulleys is brought into a pulley groove of the other of the pulleys.

  • Patent number: 5303467
Abstract: Rocker arms are assembled by providing a plurality of holder members in series at a predetermined pitch and rotatably supporting the rocker arms by shafts which are supported by the plurality of holder members. First, rocker arm units are assembled by inserting into the rocker arms shafts which are longer than a distance between facing side surfaces of two pieces of the adjoining holder members. Then, the rocker arm units are set into spaces between respective holder members which are provisionally set at a distance which is larger than the predetermined pitch. This setting is made such that the axial line of the rocker arm shafts coincides with axes of bearing holes which are formed in the holder members. Then, the distance between the holder members is narrowed down to the predetermined pitch to thereby insert end portions of the rocker arm shafts into the bearing holes.
