  • Patent number: 11035539
Abstract: A vehicular lamp is capable of projecting light in a forward direction and light in a direction different of the projection lens from the forward direction. The vehicular lamp includes: a light source (3) that emits light forward, and a projection lens (4) that projects light emitted from the light source (3) forward. The projection lens (4) includes a first lens surface (4a) located on a side facing the light source (3), and receiving light emitted from the light source (3), a second lens surface (4b) located on a side opposite to the first lens surface (4a) to output received light forward, and an output portion (14) located on an outer peripheral side surface between the first lens surface (4a) and the second lens surface (4b) and configured to output a part of light (L?) having been incident on and entered through the first lens surface (4a) in a direction different from the forward direction.

  • Patent number: 10598335
Abstract: In a lighting tool for a vehicle, a part of light emitted from a light source which is either one of a first light source and a second light source enters from an incident section which is one of a first incident section and a second incident section, passes through the light guide body at a side closer to a light guide section than an abutting section, and is emitted from another incident section toward another light source and then reflected by the another light source, and a part of light reflected by the another light source enters from the another incident section and then is reflected toward the light guide section by an inclined surface.

  • Patent number: 10414330
Abstract: A vehicle signaling light includes a first light source, a first plate light guiding lens, a second light source, and a second plate light guiding lens. The first plate light guiding lens includes a light incident portion to receive light from the first light source in a direction parallel to the plate surface and a light output surface through which the light having been guided is allowed to exit, and the light incident portion has upper and lower expanded portions. The second plate light guiding lens receives light from the second light source in a direction perpendicular to the plate surface and causes the light to exit from the light guiding lens in the direction parallel to the plate surface. The first and second plate light guiding lenses are stacked on each other to configure the vehicle signaling light including a turn signaling lamp function and a DRL function.

  • Patent number: 10352525
Abstract: A DRL unit as a vehicle signaling light can include: an LED light source; and a plate light guiding lens formed from a light guide plate. The light guide plate includes: a light guide plate main body having a light output surface; and a light entrance portion that is formed to be continuous with the light guide plate main body and includes a light incident surface opposite to the light source and upper and lower expanded portions. The upper and lower expanded portions are integrally formed with the light entrance portion on top and bottom surfaces of the light entrance portion so as to expand in the thickness direction of the light guide plate main body. Here, the upper and lower expanded portions can have asymmetric cross sections in the thickness direction and different sizes when seen in a top plan view.

  • Patent number: 10288244
Abstract: A vehicle lighting fixture capable of improving the visual recognizability when seen from its front oblique direction is provided. The vehicle lighting fixture includes: a light guide plate having a front light emission surface extending in a circular arc shape. A plurality of lens cut surfaces is formed in the front light emission surface to extend in a circular arc shape, the lens cut surfaces being recessed rearward and formed in a concentric manner. A structural body is provided to the rear surface thereof to diffuse and reflect light guided within the light guide plate in order for the light to exit through the front light emission surface. The light guide plate is formed in a substantially circular truncated conical shape where the light guide plate on an outer peripheral side is located rearward more than on an inner peripheral side.
