  • Publication number: 20070284769
Abstract: An apparatus for forming ultrafine particles, including: a light source generating a laser beam to be irradiated at an organic substance; at least one microflow channel capable of passing therethrough a suspension containing the organic substance; and a flow device for allowing the suspension containing the organic substance to continuously or intermittently pass through the microflow channel, the organic substance present in the microflow channel being irradiated with the laser beam at least once within a predetermined period, thereby forming ultrafine particles of the organic substance.

  • Publication number: 20070111207
Abstract: A nucleic acid molecule for detecting a nucleic acid molecule is provided which is a partially double-stranded nucleic acid molecule consisting of (a) a single-stranded nucleic acid molecule complementary to the nucleic acid molecule to be detected and (b) one or two single-stranded nucleic acid molecules that hybridize with part of the single-stranded nucleic acid molecule (a), wherein the region of the partially double-stranded nucleic acid molecule which assumes a single-stranded structure is complementary to a region comprising the recognition site in the nucleic acid molecule to be detected. Slight differences in nucleotide sequences can be easily recognized by using the nucleic acid molecule as a probe.

  • Publication number: 20050212300
Abstract: A vertical shaft windmill is provided in which: a casing (7) extends further upward than a lowest arm (5L); a radial bearing (BI) is fixed to the outer part of the casing (7); and the arm (5L) is mounted for rotation to the casing (7) through the radial bearing (BI). Unstable conditions in the overhang region can be eliminated without decreasing its wind receiving area and without interference with other members.
