  • Patent number: 9537484
Abstract: A semiconductor device comprises a plurality of circuit blocks, each of which performs an assigned operation, and performs a reset operation when recovering from a shutdown state of power supply, and a power control unit configured to control power supply to a power domain comprising at least one circuit block. The reset operation parameters of the plurality of circuit blocks as reset operation targets, for which power supply is resumed by the power control unit, are controlled so as to meet a power condition that makes the power dissipation of the semiconductor device by the reset operation not more than a predetermined power.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 24, 2014
Date of Patent: January 3, 2017
    Assignee: CANON KABUSHIKI KAISHA
    Inventor: Kazuya Kayama
  • Patent number: 9360921
Abstract: In a system large-scale integration (LSI) including a plurality of subsystems having a power shutdown mechanism, sometimes instantaneous power consumption of the LSI intensively increases at timing of supplying a clock for initialization due to a shift of a power mode of a subsystem. After power supply starts to return to a first subsystem and a second subsystem, an increase in power consumption during initialization is distributed by desynchronizing timing of clock supply to start initialization for the first subsystem and the second subsystem.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: June 7, 2016

  • Patent number: 8799531
Abstract: A data transferring apparatus, that is capable of connecting to at least one device and that transfers a request from a host to the device, obtains, in response to receiving a suspend request for suspending at least one of the devices from the host, configuration data of the target device (or port) for suspension indicated by the suspend request from the device, and saves the obtained configuration data. During resume, the saved configuration data is set in the device (or the port).
