  • Patent number: 9211108
Abstract: Disclosed is an ultrasound diagnostic imaging apparatus including an ultrasound probe which outputs transmission ultrasound waves toward a subject by a driving signal and which outputs received signals by receiving reflection ultrasound waves from the subject and a transmitting unit which generates the transmission ultrasound waves by the ultrasound probe by outputting the driving signal, and the transmitting unit generates the driving signal of square wave having a waveform in which a standard pulse signal where a pulse cycle is 2 T is combined with two first pulse signals of same polarity having a pulse width A (A<T) and a second pulse signal having a pulse width B (B=T?2A), the second pulse signal having a polarity different from the polarity of the first pulse signals.

  • Publication number: 20140249420
Abstract: An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus includes a signal generation unit, amplitude adjustment units and a control unit. The signal generation unit generates a pulse signal with a predetermined voltage amplitude. The amplitude adjustment units individually change the voltage amplitude of the pulse signal so as to output pulse signals with individual voltage amplitudes to their respective transducers. The control unit controls change amounts of the voltage amplitude made by the amplitude adjustment units. Each amplitude adjustment unit includes resistive elements and switching units which change a conductive state of their respective resistive elements. The control unit outputs a control signal to set a combination of ON and/or OFF of the switching units to change a load of the amplitude adjustment unit so as to apply to the transducer a voltage for an amplitude of ultrasound which is transmitted from each of the transducers.

  • Publication number: 20120310091
Abstract: The transmitting section of an ultrasound image diagnostic apparatus outputs a square pulse signal to allow a transducer to generate transmission ultrasound. The transmitting section sets the duty ratio of a pulse signal so that one of peaks of the first step response of the transducer which is generated when a change is made to voltage of the pulse signal overlaps with one of peaks of the second step response of the transducer which is generated when another change is made to the voltage of the pulse signal.
