Abstract: A server of an advertisement distribution system allows downloading of content data in response to a request of a terminal and makes the terminal periodically download shared content managing information. Then, when the server recognizes that the content data stored in a server storage before the server storage goes out of order has to be stored in a new server storage (restoration process), the server makes the terminal upload the shared content managing information and acquires from the terminal the content data specified by the shared content managing information to store the content data in the new server storage.

In the reproduction monitoring process, a pattern corresponding to the content is laid over the content in a display period corresponding to the display period of the content, and is used for the display performed by a display device 300. On the other hand, on a detection device 400, a pattern through the display performed by the display device 300 is detected. The detected pattern is compared with the pattern laid over the content by a comparison unit 240. Abstract: A contents distribution system includes: a distributing server storing broadcast program data including to-be-distributed contents; a distributing-site apparatus receiving the broadcast program data, the distributing-site apparatus comprising a configuration setting file for a display apparatus and/or an external source controlled by the distributing-site apparatus; and a control server providing a unit controlling the distributing-site apparatus over a communication line. In an execution routine of a broadcast program schedule, when a control request for requesting for controlling the display apparatus and/or the external source which is a subject to be controlled, the configuration setting file is interpreted. URL constructed with a character sequence representing a logical configuration is generated from the interpreted configuration setting file. A Web browser is operated to access to the control server to acquire a control I/F component.
