  • Patent number: 10831258
Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a touch operation is provided. The apparatus includes a display to display an image, a coordinate input to input a coordinate on a display screen of the display, and a processor to execute a process. The process including determining first input detected as a first specifying operation specifying an area on a display screen. The process also includes determining, when a second input is detected and the first input is continuously detected, the first and the second inputs as a second specifying operation. Also, the process includes determining, when one of the first and the second inputs is discontinued after determining the second specifying operation, a continuing and remaining input as the first specifying operation which treats the continuing and remaining input as the first input.

  • Publication number: 20200309871
Abstract: An angle sensor includes first and second detection units and an angle detection unit. Each of the first and second detection units generates two detection signals. The first and second detection units are arranged in a positional relationship that establishes predetermined phase relationships among the detection signals they generate. The angle detection unit includes first and second computing circuits and an angle computing unit. The first and second computing circuits generate first and second signals in each of which an error component corresponding to a fifth harmonic contained in the detection signals is reduced. The angle computing unit calculates a detected angle value on the basis of the first and second signals. The angle computing unit performs correction processing for reducing an error occurring in the detected angle value due to an error component corresponding to a third harmonic contained in the detection signals.

  • Publication number: 20200049101
Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes a crankshaft that has a journal linked to a bearing and is rotatably supported on the crankcase, a power transmission gear fixed to an extremity of the crankshaft that has a smaller diameter than a diameter of the journal and projects outward of the crankcase, a to-be-detected body that is fixed on an outer periphery of a collar member disposed between the bearing and the power transmission gear and is relatively non-rotatably supported on the crankshaft, and a detection sensor that is made to face a trajectory of the to-be-detected body and detects movement of the to-be-detected body to generate a pulse signal. This provides a structure for disposing a to-be-detected body that enables any increase in the dimensions of an internal combustion engine to be avoided.

  • Publication number: 20200049102
Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes a crankshaft that is rotatably supported on a crankcase via a pair of bearings and has a crank housed in a crank chamber, a to-be-detected body that is housed in the crank chamber and is supported on the crankshaft, and a detection sensor that is made to face a trajectory of the to-be-detected body and detects movement of the to-be-detected body to generate a pulse signal. The to-be-detected body is disposed on an inner side of the bearing. Thus, an internal combustion engine is provided that enables a crank angle to be detected in a state in which vibration and flexure occurring in a crankshaft are suppressed.

  • Patent number: 10545032
Abstract: An angle sensor includes a first to a fourth detection unit and an angle detection unit. Each of the first to the fourth detection unit generates two detection signals. The first to the fourth detection unit are arranged in a positional relationship that establishes predetermined phase relationships among the detection signals they generate. The angle detection unit performs operations using the detection signals to generate a first and a second signal in which an error component corresponding to a fifth or higher-order harmonic and an error component corresponding to a harmonic of the order other than the fifth order are lower than those in the detection signals. The angle detection unit then calculates a detected angle value on the basis of the first and the second signal.

  • Patent number: 10489329
Abstract: A computer includes a first module, a second module controlled by the first module, a first connector connectable to the first module, a second connector connectable to either the first module or the second module, and a data transmission line configured to connect the first connector to the second connector. The first module includes a switch configured to electrically connect the data transmission line to the first module attached to the first connector. The switch breaks an electrical connection between the data transmission line and the first module attached to the second connector. Thus, it is possible to improve expandability in the computer acting as a server. Additionally, it is possible to prevent complexity of design and increased cost in manufacturing servers.
