Patent number: 8052214Abstract: A seat structure capable of dealing with both a normal posture and a resting posture and providing sufficient relaxation in the resting posture while ensuring excellent comfortableness of an occupant. According to the present invention, a back frame 20 itself is fixed to a frame support 10 but a cushion frame 30 shifts from a first position A to a second position B according to an occupant's movement and an inclination angle of a pelvis support 31 increases accordingly. The occupant's pelvis portion and a portion lower than the pelvis portion is moved forward but a part of his or her back above his or her breast is not varied. With this structure, the same effect of the resting posture, that is, the posture in which the back frame is reclined in a conventional seat structure, can be obtained. Since the back is not tilted backward, a leg room (footrest) space in a rear seat is not limited.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2006Date of Patent: November 8, 2011Assignee: Delta Tooling Co., Ltd.Inventors: Ryota Okimoto, Hiroyuki Fujiwara, Kenichi Kawai, Etsunori Fujita, Kazuyoshi Chizuka

Patent number: 7845733Abstract: A seat cushion of a vehicle seat has a base seat whose front end is anchored to a front frame of a frame for a sitting portion, and whose rear end is connected to a rear frame of the frame for a sitting portion via helical tension springs. A supporter, supported via helical tension springs at a pair of left and right side frames of the frame for a sitting portion, is disposed at a lower side of the base seat so as to support a femoral region of a seated person. The supporter and the helical tension springs structure an auxiliary vibration system whose mass element is a femoral region of a seated person. The auxiliary vibration system is made to function as a dynamic vibration absorber with respect to up-down vibrations of a main vibration system whose mass element is an upper body of a seated person.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2006Date of Patent: December 7, 2010Assignee: Delta Tooling Co., Ltd.Inventors: Etsunori Fujita, Kazuyoshi Chizuka, Seiji Kawasaki, Yumi Ogura, Yasuhide Takata

Patent number: 7731294Abstract: At a vehicle seat 10, a cushion material 18 is provided at a frame 14 for a sitting portion of a seat frame 12, such that a seat cushion 20 is formed. An upper cushion member (three-dimensional solid knit fabric) 86, which is a surface layer portion of the cushion material 18, is stretched at the frame 14 for the sitting portion, and is layered on a cloth spring material 18 which is a lower layer portion of the cushion material 18. When the cloth spring material 68 is pressed and flexes downward due to pushing-against force which is based on body weight of a seated person at a time of sitting on the seat cushion 20, at regions of the cloth spring material 68 which are pushed by ischial tuberosities of the seated person, tensile forces of extension coil springs 80, which are forces in the pushing direction, act, and directions of tension of the cushion material 18 are in three dimensions.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2003Date of Patent: June 8, 2010Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Toyota Chuo Kenkyusho, Delta Tooling Co., Ltd.Inventors: Eiichi Yasuda, Shun'ichi Doi, Kiyokazu Sunami, Etsunori Fujita, Yumi Ogura, Seiji Kawasaki, Kazuyoshi Chizuka

Patent number: 7303229Abstract: A flat spring member (40) mainly serving as a vibration absorptive function at a normal use is engaged with a supporting frame member (130) which displaces backward along with deformation of a seat back (20) by backward moment applied to the seat back (20), and the other end is engaged with a front edge frame (102) disposed in the vicinity of the front edge of a cushion frame. Therefore, when an impact force from front or back equal to or more than that prescribed is applied, the flat spring member (40) increases in tension by backward moment applied to the seat back (20), and serves as a function to increase again the intensity of the backward moment of the seat back (20), which was once lowered by deformation of the side frame (101) of the cushion frame.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2003Date of Patent: December 4, 2007Assignee: Delta Tooling Co., Ltd.Inventors: Etsunori Fujita, Kazuyoshi Chizuka, Seiji Kawasaki, Yasuhide Takata

Patent number: 6485103Abstract: A structural unit having a net member incorporated therein capable of preventing local application of undue force to the net member, to thereby increase reliability of the net member. An end section of a net member of a three-dimensional structure is treated so as to be reduced in cushioning characteristics and increased in hardness as compared with a portion of the net member positioned inside the end section. A frame constituting a part of the structural unit is provided with an end holding member so that an insertion port of an insertion gap of the end holding member is arranged in a particular direction or posture, resulting in the end section being readily held in the holding member by merely inserting the end section in the insertion gap. The end section is entirely inserted into the insertion gap, so that application of load to the end section may be carried out in a two-dimensional manner rather than a spot-like manner.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2000Date of Patent: November 26, 2002Assignee: Delta Tooling Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshihiko Yamada, Etsunori Fujita, Yumi Ogura, Kazuyoshi Chizuka, Hiroki Oshimo
