  • Patent number: 8902620
Abstract: A power conditioner that suppresses distortion in a waveform of a sinusoidal generated voltage includes a first and second group including two switches each connected in inverse parallel and in series. The power conditioner alternately turns on and off both switches in the first group at a prescribed chopping frequency and alternately turns on and off both switches in the second group at a PWM frequency higher than the chopping frequency. If control is performed with a dead-time provided in the on/off timing for both switches in each group, the power conditioner adjusts and controls the on/off duty for the second group switches to correspond to the effective on drive in one switch by each diode during the dead-time for each switch in the first group.

  • Patent number: 8570781
Abstract: A power conditioner that suppresses generation of voltage spikes in a part of a generated sinusoidal voltage waveform. An offset between the timing of chopping, which depends on whether the voltage difference between the voltage of a third pulse voltage series and a sinusoidal voltage is positive or negative, and the timing of the switching between on/off duty cycles of a seventh and eighth switch is calculated, and the on/off duty cycles of the seventh and eighth switches are controlled on the basis of the timing offset.

  • Patent number: 8462526
Abstract: A power converter enhances conversion efficiency from DC power to AC power. A first chopper circuit chops DC voltage from a photovoltaic panel at a system frequency producing a first square-wave whose voltage level changes positively. A second chopper circuit chops the first square-wave at a frequency double the system frequency producing a second square-wave whose voltage level changes negatively and adds the first square-wave and the second square-wave to produce a third square-wave that changes positively and negatively in a sine-wave manner. A third chopper circuit charges and discharges by chopping the third square-wave at a third frequency fixed by timing according to a difference between the third square-wave and a sine-wave voltage. PWM control is performed on the charge and discharge outputs such that the difference is corrected, producing a sine-wave voltage that continuously changes positively and negatively. A spike noise of an output voltage is suppressed.

  • Patent number: 7630794
Abstract: An isolated operation detecting method according to the present invention includes: a first step that injects a power fluctuation into the power system; a second step that measures a system cycle; a third step that adjusts the injection of the power fluctuation so that the system cycle increases when the system cycle is found increased than the previous system cycle as a result of the measuring, and decreases when the system cycle is found decreased than the previous system cycle; a fourth step that produces a change pattern of a latest system cycle on the basis of a deviation of the latest system cycle from a fixed number of cycle-passed previous system cycle; and a fifth step that determines an isolated operation on the basis of the change pattern.

  • Patent number: 4490415
Abstract: Coating of the surface of a pencil barrel with a coat film having a sufficient thickness and smoothness can be well achieved by using a hot-melt polyester as a coating material. The formation of the desired coat film on the pencil barrel can be attained even by only a single coating operation. The coat film of hot-melt polyester formed on the surface of the pencil barrel has an excellent affinity for and an improved adhesion to not only a pencil barrel but also to a lacquer if any lacquer is additionally coated on the polyester-coated pencil barrel. Any organic solvent need not be used, and the coating operation can be completed in an extremely short time. Therefore, the method of the present invention is very advantageous from the viewpoints of prevention of environmental pollution and enhancement of productivity.

  • Patent number: 4477636
Abstract: A hot-melt adhesive comprising a self-curing unsaturated polyester resin having an air-drying functional group and an average polymerization degree of 8 or more has been found to have an excellent heat resistance and a high bonding strength when it is bonding-cured under heat and pressure. If an additive selected from a polymerization initiator, a polymerization promotor and a photosensitizer is incorporated into the present air-drying, self-curing polyester resin, the curing speed is extremely increased to such an extent as cannot be expected from the conventional curing type adhesives. The incorporation of such an additive into the self-curing unsaturated polyester resin is advantageously realized in the form of composite structures of various forms, e.g., a laminate form, a core-in-sheath form and an islands-in-sea form. Such a composite hot-melt adhesive structure is useful for improving a pot life.

  • Patent number: 4363853
Abstract: A polyester comprising acid monomer units of terephthalic acid, succinic acid, glutaric acid and isophthalic acid and/or an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 6 to 20 carbon atoms and glycol monomer units of a C.sub.2-10 alkylene glycol in specific proportions has been found to be extremely useful as hot-melt materials such as a hot-melt adhesive, a hot-melt coating material, a hot-melt sealing material and a hot-melt filling material. The present hot-melt polyester has excellent melting characteristics, that is, it can be rapidly molten from a solid state with a high sensitivity to heating to give a molten polyester having a stably low viscosity that does not almost undergo change according to variation of temperature and having an excellent fluidity. Further, the present hot-melt polyester has a good affinity for objects (e.g. adherend) to which the polyester is applied and exhibits excellent bonding or adhesive performance. Moreover, the present hot-melt polyester has improved suppleness and flexibility.

  • Patent number: 3958066
Abstract: Thermoplastic synthetic polymer fibers having powder of metal attached to the surface of the fibers are subjected to a treatment for increasing the oxidation number of said metal from zero to a plus value, that is, oxidation in a broad sense. The resulting conductive synthetic fibers support a layer of a compound of the metal, i.e. an oxidized product of the metal in a broad sense, firmly and undetchably thereon, and have as low an electric resistivity as 10.sup.5 .OMEGA./cm or less. The conductive fibers can be blended to ordinary synthetic fibers to improve their antistatic property, or can be substituted for expensive metal fibers. The thermoplastic synthetic polymer fibers are sheath-core fibers wherein the sheath has a lower melting point than the core.

  • Patent number: 3936394
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method of producing an adsorbent composed of micro-fibrils, comprising the steps of mixing two synthetic polymers in a mixing ratio of 20/80 - 80/20, both of said polymers being incompatible with each other when they are intimately mixed, subjecting the mixture in molten state to an extrusion molding to shape the article in the form of threads, ropes or films where at least one of the polymers assumes the forms of micro-fibrils, and thereafter treating the shaped article with a solvent which is incapable of dissolving or decomposing one polymer but capable of dissolving or decomposing the other constituent polymer. The polymer adsorbent obtained by the above method is characterized by superior adsorbing activity and high treating efficiency and can be used for a wide range of purpose of adsorption.
