Patent number: 7367047Abstract: When in order to enable the use of a plurality of applications (AP1 to AP3) simultaneously, preparation commands, having identifiers attached, are provided according to the respective applications and working areas for the respective applications are secured inside a RAM (134). By providing a verification command having a specific identifier, a verification process concerning a specific application is performed and a verification result is stored in the corresponding application working area. This verification result is used until the completion of a communication session. To make a specific application execute a desired process, a process executing command that designates an identifier attached to the corresponding application is provided. Adequate security can be ensured and yet a series of linked processes can be performed smoothly while switching among a plurality of application programs in the same communication session.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2002Date of Patent: April 29, 2008Assignee: Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazuyoshi Irisawa, Naoto Shibata, Tetsuo Shinriki

Patent number: 7340276Abstract: The invention provides a program-downloading system comprising a USIM (1) from and in which data can be read and written via a cellular phone terminal (2) and which holds a given program specification and encryption communication means, and a program server for communicating with the USIM via the cellular phone terminal and providing a program to the universal subscriber identify module according to the given program specification. The program server prepares a program list that can be provided according to a program specification sent out of the USIM via the cellular phone terminal and transmits the program list to the cellular phone terminal, so that when program information selected by the USIM from the program list is received via the cellular phone terminal, a given encryption communication means is selected out of an encryption communication means list transmitted out of the USIM to encrypt a program, which is then downloaded to the USIM.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2002Date of Patent: March 4, 2008Assignee: Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd.Inventor: Kazuyoshi Irisawa

Patent number: 7325144Abstract: Switching between a requiring mode and a non-requiring mode of password code checking is enabled by an IC card with a CPU for accessing an EEPROM. The general data in the EEPROM are stored upon attachment of error check codes. The memory area of EEPROM is partitioned into unit areas of 2-byte length and writing is performed according to unit areas. The MSB of a specific unit area Ux is used as a checking requirement flag with “1” being defined as checking “required” and “0” being defined as checking “not required”. In rewriting the checking requirement flag, an erasure process sets all bits in the unit area Ux to “1” and thereafter the desired flag is set in the MSB.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2001Date of Patent: January 29, 2008Assignee: Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazuyoshi Irisawa, Tetsuo Shinriki, Naoto Shibata

Patent number: 7302572Abstract: Authentification data (R) comprising random numbers generated by a reader/writer (200) is given to an IC card (100), encrypted by utilizing a secret key (a), and returned as encryption data (C). This encryption data (C) is decoded by utilizing an open key (?) to authentify the IC card. A set of past given authentification data (R) is stored in an authentification data storage section (130): if another set of given authentification data (R) is the same as the set of past data, an encryption operating section (150) is prevented from executing an illegal statistical analysis technique by repeatedly giving encrypting operation the same set of authentiification data (R).Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2002Date of Patent: November 27, 2007Assignee: Dai Nippon Printing Co., LtdInventors: Tetsuo Shinriki, Kazuyoshi Irisawa, Naoto Shibata

Patent number: 6776347Abstract: A sheet-framed IC carrier has a sheet frame having an aperature, and a backing film with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one surface thereof which is adhered to the back surface of the sheet frame. An IC carrier having an IC module is secured in the aperature of the sheet frame with the adhesive layer on the backing film. When the IC carrier is removed from the sheet-framed IC carrier, no excessive load is exerted on the IC module and no projection remains on the peripheral edge of the carrier base.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2002Date of Patent: August 17, 2004Assignee: Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Seiichi Nishikawa, Hiroshi Harima, Kazuyoshi Irisawa, Jun Takahashi, Akiko Moriyama, Mayumi Inada, Yoshikazu Fukushima, Masaki Wakamatsu

Publication number: 20040037121Abstract: Authentification data (R) comprising random numbers generated by a reader/writer (200) is given to an IC card (100), encrypted by utilizing a secret key (a), and returned as encryption data (C). This encryption data (C) is decoded by utilizing an open key (&bgr;) to authentify the IC card. Publication number: 20030163695Abstract: While ensuring adequate security, switching between requiring mode and non requiring mode of the checking of a password code for use is enabled. An EEPROM (11) and an IC card with a CPU for accessing this EEPROM are prepared. The general data in the EEPROM are stored upon attachment of error check codes. The memory area of EEPROM (11) is partitioned into unit areas of 2-byte length and writing is performed according to unit area. The MSB of a specific unit area Ux is used as a checking requirement flag with “1” being defined as checking “required” and “0” being defined as checking “not required”. A password code checking process is carried out only in the checking “required” mode. An error check code is not added to the data in the unit area Ux. In rewriting the checking requirement flag, an erasure process of setting all bits in the unit area Ux to “1” is performed and thereafter the desired flag is set in the MSB.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2003Publication date: August 28, 2003Inventors: Kazuyoshi Irisawa, Tetsuo Shinriki, Naoto Shibata
