  • Publication number: 20210336410
Abstract: A semiconductor laser device A1 comprises a semiconductor laser chip 2 and a stem 1. The stem 1 includes a base 11 and leads 3A, 3B, and 3C fixed to the base, and supports the semiconductor laser chip 2. The semiconductor laser device A1 further comprises a first metal layer 15 including a first layer 151 covering the base 11 and the leads 3A, 3B, and 3C, a second layer 152 interposed between the first layer 151 and each of the base 11 and the leads 3A, 3B, and 3C, and a third layer 153 interposed between the second layer 152 and each of the base 11 and the leads 3A, 3B, and 3C. Crystal grains in the second layer 152 are smaller than crystal grains in the third layer 153. Such a configuration can suppress corrosion.

  • Publication number: 20210265812
Abstract: A semiconductor laser device includes a semiconductor laser chip that emits laser light, a plate-like base, and a block protruding from the base and supporting the semiconductor laser chip. The block has a supporting surface and a wire bonding surface. The supporting surface faces a first side in a first direction perpendicular to the laser light emitting direction, and supports the semiconductor laser chip. The wire bonding surface is a surface to which a wire connected to the semiconductor laser chip is connected. The wire bonding surface is shifted in a second direction perpendicular to the emitting direction and the first direction with respect to the supporting surface. The wire bonding surface is inclined relative to the supporting surface, such that the wire bonding surface is more offset to a second side in the first direction with increasing distance from the supporting surface in the second direction.

  • Patent number: 7901103
Abstract: A backlight unit includes a fluorescent lamp to illuminate a liquid crystal panel, a reflection unit for causing the light from the fluorescent lamp to exit toward a certain direction, and a diffusion unit for diffusing the light from the fluorescent lamp and reflection unit, and reflectance or transmittance in the horizontal and vertical directions is controlled by applying a dot pattern that gradually increases densities from the central portion toward the peripheral portion to the reflection unit or diffusion unit, or by applying a dot pattern that gradually increases densities from the central portion toward the both ends in the longitudinal direction on the surface of the fluorescent tube of the fluorescent lamp. By doing this, brightness gradient is formed in the horizontal and vertical directions so that the brightness in the central portion of the liquid crystal panel is relatively higher than the brightness of the peripheral portion thereof.
