    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a mineral fiber panel which comprises uniformly dispersing in water 60 to 90% by weight of a mineral fiber, 2 to 19% by weight of an organic binder, 1 to 20% by weight of an inorganic microfiber, 0.5 to 3% by weight of a flocculant and 0.5 to 10% by weight of a thermally expansible resin fine particle which has a diameter after expansion of not less than 0.03 mm but less than 3.0 mm, the expansion degree of the above diameter being at least 3 times, and which has an expansion-starting temperature of 50.degree. to 105.degree. C., as the composition components, to prepare a slurry, and thereafter subjecting the slurry to wet forming and then to drying. The above production process enables the enhancement of productivity and the mineral fiber panel obtained by the above production process is light in weight and excellent in sound-absorbing qualities and fireproof properties.

    Abstract: A drive axle device having the disk brake and planetary gear reducing unit at the outer end of the drive shaft and a wheel shaft outside said disk brake and gear reducing unit. The axle tube which incorporates the drive shaft terminates in a flanged portion at its outer end and encompasses the disk brake in the flanged portion. The disk is positioned on the drive shaft near the outer end thereof. Further out on the drive shaft is a sun gear which forms a part of the gear reducing unit. Also included in the latter unit are planetary gears which mesh with the sun gear, a planetary carrier for rotatably supporting the planetary gears, and a fixed ring gear which is fixed to a gear housing and meshes with the planetary gears. The gear housing is bolted to the flanged portion of the axle tube and encloses the gear reducing unit. A wheel shaft in line with the drive shaft is fixed on the planetary carrier to rotate therewith.

    Abstract: A method of and a system for detecting pinholes in hollow fibers by passing a liquid filled fiber into a zone of pressurized gas wherein the pressure of a gas is higher than that of a liquid inside the hollow fiber so that bubbles may be injected through pinholes contained in said hollow fiber and then passing the fiber through a bubble detector. The system can be operated continuously with the pinhole detector being between a device for continuously feeding the hollow fiber and a device for winding up said hollow fiber.
