  • Patent number: 8150537
Abstract: A transcranial electrical stimulation device 1 having a wearing equipment 2 detachably worn onto a patient's head and at least a pair of electrodes 4 attached to the wearing equipment 2, the device for electrically stimulating a motor area of a patient's cerebral cortex by outputting current from the electrode 4 connected to a current generator. An engagement part 6 capable of engaging the wearing equipment 2 to a scalp with a thread-like body 8 is provided to the wearing equipment 2, and the electrode 4 is attached to the wearing equipment 2 protrudably to the head side of the electrode 4, and tip of the electrode 4 is capable of subcutaneously piercing through the head. It is unnecessary to bore a patient's skull outer layer with a drill, and a mounting of the electrode can be performed in a short time. The electrodes can be accurately positioned at predetermined positions of a patient's head, and the motor area of a cerebral cortex can be effectively stimulated.

  • Patent number: 4505397
Abstract: An apparatus for hoisting materials and placing concrete, having a non-rotating mast and a boom which is swingable horizontally and vertically, and consists of boom segments pin-jointed together in line so as to be foldable only downwardly. A line of concrete transport piping extends from the base end of the boom to the free end thereof, and a line of hoisting sling extends from the base end of the boom to the free end, hangs down to hold a load handling block, rises up and extends back to the base end, each such line being supported alongside of the boom. In service for hoisting materials, the boom is stretched and fixed at each pin-jointed connection for reinforcement by releasable pin-fastening members, whereas in service for concrete placing, the hoisting sling is raised up and seized in place to avoid interference. The apparatus is remotely controllable.

  • Patent number: 4212548
Abstract: An apparatus for treating sludge deposits comprising a girder, first running means for moving the girder in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the girder, kneading means held on the girder, second running means for moving the kneading means through a holding frame in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the girder and lift means for bringing up and down the kneading means while a chemical is fed from the kneading means is disclosed. The method for treating sludge deposits by using this treating apparatus comprises repeating the step of treating a sludge deposit layer in a band-like area by simultaneously driving the second running means and lift means and the step of driving the first running means, whereby a sludge deposit in a broad region is continuously and promptly treated.
