  • Publication number: 20090008871
Abstract: A shredder paper feed mechanism and paper feeder that, simply by setting a paper stack in the paper tray, enable a stack of document sheets to be fed to the shredder in an amount that matches the shredding capability of the shredder. This is done by using first and second rotating members equipped with claw members. The paper feed mechanism utilizes the transmitted rotary driving force of the shredder unit. The paper feed mechanism has a first rotating member having disc-shaped claw members with sharp portions for feeding the paper sheets, and rotation members; a transport roller; a second rotating member that limits the number of paper sheets that are fed onwards, and also has disc-shaped claw members with sharp portions for feeding the paper sheets, and rotation members; and a pressure roller that presses against the second rotating member to thereby grip and feed the paper sheets.

  • Publication number: 20070273079
Abstract: An automatic paper feeding mechanism and an automatic paper feeding device incorporating the mechanism are provided that enable a stack of document sheets to be automatically fed into a shredder by at least one disk-shaped claw member in lots of a specified maximum number of sheets for shredding by the shredder, simply by setting the stack in the paper feeder. The automatic paper feeding mechanism is adapted to be supplied with rotational power by a shredder nit having intermeshed cutting blades for supplying paper sheets to the shredder unit in lots of two or more. It is equipped on at least one side face of a paper feed roller of a paper feeding section with a disk-shaped claw member formed with sharp portions for automatically supplying paper sheets to the shredder unit under piercing.

  • Patent number: 7003257
Abstract: The invention concerns a hole-punching processor that forms punched-holes, for binding sheets into a file, on the sheets, which are ejected after images are formed on them from an image forming apparatus such as, for example, a copying machine, a printer, a facsimile machine or a compound machine thereof. The hole-punching processor forms a punched-hole on a sheet residing in a conveying path for conveying the sheet through the hole-punching processor. The hole-punching processor includes a hole-punching device being movable in a direction perpendicular to a conveyance direction of the sheet and a sheet-edge detector to detect a side-edge of the sheet in a direction parallel to the conveyance direction of the sheet. The hole-punching device moves with the sheet-edge detector to a center of the sheet, based on positional information of the side-edge detected by the sheet-edge detector, to punch a hole in the sheet.

  • Patent number: 6283354
Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus has a function of stapling sheets together, wherein the sheets are fed from an image forming apparatus one by one after images are formed on the sheets. The sheet processing apparatus includes a stapler to staple the sheets together, a sheet guide which guides the sheets along a sheet transporting path from the image forming apparatus to a position at which the sheets are stapled by the stapler, and a reference surface against which edges of the sheets are butted to stop movement of the sheets. The sheets are guided along the sheet transporting path by the sheet guide and the edges of the sheets are butted against the reference surface at a same position relative to a sheet conveying direction, irrespective of whether the sheet processing apparatus is in a stapling mode in which the stapler staples the sheets or a non-stapling mode in which the stapler does not staple the sheets, and irrespective of sizes of the sheets.
