  • Publication number: 20100015891
Abstract: An apparatus for removing scales from metal wires including: a liquid container tank 12 through which the metal wires 10 pass, mixing nozzles 14 disposed to allow the metal wirings to pass through the liquid container tank for injecting a high-pressure liquid toward the metal wires 10; a high-pressure pump 16 for feeding the high-pressure liquid to the mixing nozzles 14; and cyclone separators 20 which are slurry feeders for feeding a slurry of the liquid with which an abrasive scavenging agent is mixed to the mixing nozzles 14. The mixing nozzles 14 inject the slurry of the abrasive scavenging agent together with the high-pressure liquid so that the abrasive scavenging agent bombards the scales on the surfaces of the metal wires 10 to remove the scales.

  • Patent number: 7428891
Abstract: An outboard motor has an internal combustion engine with a carburetor. The carburetor is designed to extend maintenance interval greatly by preventing or suppressing the deposition of solid matters in the gap between the intake passage and a butterfly-type throttle valve therein. The throttle valve is divided, by a valve axis about which the throttle valve turns, into a first valve part that turns from the downstream side to the upstream side with respect to an air intake direction when the fully closed throttle valve is opened and a second valve part that turns from the upstream side to the downstream side with respect to the air intake direction when the fully closed throttle valve is opened. The first valve part has an edge that moves to the upstream side past bypass ports when the fully closed throttle valve is opened, and the second valve part is provided with a through hole that allows air to flow therethrough at a flow rate necessary for idling when the throttle valve is fully closed.

  • Publication number: 20070091532
Abstract: In one inventive aspect, a varistor includes a plurality of sets laminated on top of one another, and each set has an inner conductor layer for grounding connected to an external electrode for grounding, a first ceramic layer with the inner conductor layer for grounding formed on a top surface thereof, an inner conductor layer for signal containing a leading portion connected to an external electrode for signal, and a second ceramic layer with the inner conductor layer for signal formed on a top surface thereof. The position of the leading portion is displaced in the plural sets so as not to overlap one on another in the lamination direction. When this configuration is adopted, the varistor becomes able to handle many more channels by merely increasing the number of the sets. Because the thickness of each layer is so thin that there is no influence on a reduction in size even when the number of the sets is increased.

  • Patent number: 7044098
Abstract: Gaskets are placed in joints between adjacent nonferrous metal engine members of a water-cooled engine for an outboard motor, such as a cylinder block, a cylinder head, a crankcase, a mount case and an oil pan, to seal the joints. Each of the gaskets has a base member formed of a stainless steel. The surfaces of the base member are coated with electrochemical corrosion preventing films formed by applying a liquid containing flakes of an aluminum alloy or a zinc alloy and a silicate resin in films and baking the films of the liquid. The electrochemical corrosion preventing films are coated with sealing films formed by applying a liquid containing aluminum flakes and a silicate resin to the electrochemical corrosion preventing films and baking the films of the liquid. The gaskets are prevented from electrochemically corroding despite potential difference between each gasket and the adjacent engine members.

  • Patent number: 6856196
Abstract: A distortion compensator that compensates for distortion arising in a main amplifier 10 that amplifies a signal effectively compensates for third order distortion which is unbalanced between the higher frequency band and lower frequency band. An amplitude detector 3 detects the level of a signal subject to amplification and a signal level change direction detection means 7 detects the direction of change in the level of the signal. A signal level change control means 4-8 stores the correspondence between the signal level and the mode of changing the signal in order to compensate for distortion for when the direction of change in the signal level is positive and when it is negative, and controls a signal change means 9 so that the amplitude and phase of the signal is changed in a mode of changing the signal corresponding to the detected direction of change in the signal level and the detected signal level.

  • Patent number: 6622682
Abstract: In an intake manifold of an internal combustion chamber comprising a surge tank assembly and intake pipe assembly, a seal member is interposed between the end surface of the intake pipe assembly and the mating surface of the surge tank assembly so as to seal off the intake passage and mounting holes individually. Thus, the seal member, combined with the use of the blind threaded holes for the threaded bolts joining the two parts, ensures the sealing of both the intake passages and mounting holes at the interface between the end surface of the intake pipe and the mating surface of the surge tank assembly in a both reliable and simple manner. Preferably, the seal member comprises an O-ring made of elastomeric material, and at least one of the mating surface and end surface is provided with a groove for receiving the seal member.

  • Patent number: 6542424
Abstract: A memory cell array configured using static memory cells is provided with pre-amplifiers each of which receives a signal of a memory cell, which is read into each complementary bit line pair, and a main amplifier which receives a signal outputted from each of the pre-amplifiers. The number of the plurality of memory cells connected to the complementary bit lines is restricted in such a manner that the amplitude of the signal read into each complementary bit line pair, which is supplied to the input of the pre-amplifier, becomes greater than that of a signal outputted from the pre-amplifier during a period of from the selection of a word line to the start of the operation of the main amplifier.
