  • Patent number: 6024197
Abstract: A clutch hub includes a bottom wall, outer cylindrical portion and inner cylindrical portion that extend in the same axial direction from the bottom wall. The outer cylindrical portion has splines for engagement with friction plates on its outer circumferential surface. Splines formed on an outer circumferential surface of the inner cylindrical portion engage with splines formed on an inner circumferential surface of an inner race of a one-way clutch, so that the clutch hub and the inner race are connected with each other. With this arrangement, the clutch hub undergoes almost no radial displacement even if a large clearance exists between an output shaft and a hole of the clutch hub through which the output shaft is inserted.

  • Patent number: 5366354
Abstract: A noise and cavitation suppressing variable fluid volume vane type rotary pump has fluid inlet and outlet ports in communication with the interior portion of a pump housing. A cam ring is arranged in an inner chamber of the pump housing, for enabling adjustment of fluid flow volume in the pump, and the cam ring is pivotable for allowing eccentric displacement thereof. A rotor having a plurality of vanes arranged in the radial direction thereof so as to make touching contact with an inner circumferential surface of the cam ring is rotatably arranged in the space defined within the inner circumference of the cam ring. First and second containments are defined at uppermost and lowermost points between the cam ring and the rotor. The cross sectional areas of the containments vary according to eccentric displacement of the cam ring.

  • Patent number: 5285870
Abstract: A lubricating arrangement for an automatic power transmission has a lubricant circuit for communication between a pressurized fluid source and a component of the automatic power transmission to be lubricated. A flow restriction means is disposed within the lubricating circuit. The flow restriction means incorporated in the lubricating arrangement introduces a twin choke construction for providing sufficient magnitude of flow restriction for the lubricating fluid supplied from the pressurized fluid source for preventing excess fluid from flowing through the lubricating circuit which causes a drop of supply pressure and/or flow rate in the pressurized fluid source and blocking of the fluid flow path due to accumulation of foreign matters, such as dust, dirt and so forth. The flow restriction means comprises a first choke and a second choke arranged in tandem fashion across a fluid reservoir provided therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5273408
Abstract: A lubricating groove not communicating with other oil passages and extending in the circumferential direction is provided on the side surface of a cam ring. The central portion in the circumferential direction of the lubricating groove is located at the center of the suction side, and both ends of the lubricating groove reach the positions beyond a straight line joinning the upper and lower dead points. As a result, the side surface of the cam ring of the variable-displacement vane pump is prevented from seizing.
