    Abstract: A motor drive controlling apparatus in an image forming apparatus for effecting recording with a member to be conveyed being conveyed with a servo-motor as a drive source is provided with a conveying roller for driving an endless belt for conveying the member to be conveyed, a first encoder for detecting the rotational speed of the servo-motor for driving the conveying roller, and a second encoder for detecting the rotative operating position of the conveying roller, and feedback speed control for speed control is effected on the basis of the output signal of the first encoder and feedback position control for the control of the rotative operating position of the conveying roller is effected on the basis of the output signal of the second encoder.
