  • Patent number: 10179360
Abstract: A curved part 10 having a hat-shaped cross section is produced by press-forming without causing cracks and wrinkles. When producing a curved part 10, which is made up of a top plate 11, vertical walls 12a and 12b extended in parallel with each other along ridgelines 14a and 14b of the top plate, and outwardly directed flanges 13a and 13b which connect to leading edges of the vertical walls, and has a generally hat-shaped cross section, by press forming, the metal material sheet 601 is interposed and constrained by the die 502 and the blank holder 505 and is press-formed while the metal material sheet 601 being interposed and constrained by the pad 503 and the punch 504.

  • Patent number: 10060017
Abstract: On part of a surface of a metal sheet that is to be heated by radiant heat transfer with a near-infrared ray, a region where reflectance for a radiant ray is made lower than that of the original surface of the metal sheet is formed. As reflectance reducing treatment, painting or thermal spraying in a blackish color, plating in a blackish color, treatment for increasing roughness of the surface of the metal sheet, blasting, etching, blackening, surface layer quality changing treatment of the metal sheet, or the like can be adopted. The metal sheet is turned into a heated metal sheet partially having a different temperature by being heated by radiant heat transfer, and thereafter, the heated metal sheet is subjected to thermal processing accompanied by cooling, for example, by hot stamping.

  • Patent number: 8926770
Abstract: In a cooling a galvanized steel sheet (W), change in emissivity of a surface of the galvanized steel sheet (W) is measured in a temperature range lower than the boiling point of zinc but not lower than the ferrite transformation temperature, using an emissivity sensor (4) with an observation wavelength of 1.4 ?m or longer, and pressing and quenching in a pressing and quenching apparatus (2) is started after completion of an alloying reaction has been detected based on the change in emissivity. The emissivity sensor (4) preferably has an InGaAs element or a thermopile as a measuring element.
