When a movable body is moved forward a predetermined movement position, a striker member is caught and engaged with the catcher member positioned in the standby position, and subsequently, holding by the holding device is released, and the catcher member is moved or relatively moved up to the retracted position by being urged by the urging device, so that the urging force is applied to the movable body up to position where the movement ends. An operation device is provided so as to be able to operate to move the catcher member which was moved to the retracted position without catching the striker member, toward the standby position.

    Abstract: To obtain a latch device for obtaining a great output load with a small input load. Holding parts (70) are provided on one end of holding members (64), and cam parts (72) are provided on the other end of the holding members (64), with a support part (68) of the holding members (64) as reference, and the cam parts (72) are moved away from each other by way of a rod (74), whereby the holding parts (70) are moved closer to each other. That is, the magnitude of the external force acting on the cam parts (72) can be changed by the movement of the rod (74), and the holding force of the holding parts (70) can therefore be changed with the support part (68) as a fulcrum. In other words, the stroke of the rod (74) and the position of the support part (68) of the holding member (64) are changed, and the distance from the support part (68) to the holding part (70) is made longer than the distance from the support part (68) to the cam parts (72).

The catcher is biased towards the standby position when at a position closer to the standby position than an intermediate position between the standby position and the turned position and biased toward the turned position when at a position closer to the turned position than the intermediate position. The catcher includes a hooking groove for the striker on a surface extending substantially perpendicular to a rotary shaft thereof. The hooking groove faces an introduction port toward the front side in the standby position.

When the rotation plate catches the striker, the rotational plate rotates in a direction to pull the spring, and when the attaching portion passes a position on a linear line extending the attaching portion, rotational center of the rotational plate and fixing portion, the rotational plate is pulled to move the rotational plate to the turned position.

    Abstract: A reservoir in which fuel can be collected when only a small amount of fuel remains in the fuel tank, is arranged to support a fuel pump and to be connectable to the lower wall of the tank by a snap action type connector arrangement which is defined between a bracket fixed to the lower wall of the fuel tank and a portion of the reservoir which cooperates with the bracket. The reservoir containing the pump can be manually introduced into the interior of the fuel tank through an opening in the top thereof and maneuvered into engagement with the bracket. The center of gravity of the relatively heavy pump is arranged to be generally over the top of the bracket. When a predetermined strong force is applied to the reservoir in a predetermined manner it can disengage from the bracket.
