  • Patent number: 11789277
Abstract: A head-mounted display includes a front having a display housing and a back having a rear housing. A first member extends between the front and the back and is adjustable via an actuation of a first rotatable actuator and a first cabling mechanism. A second member extends between the front and the back and is adjustable via an actuation of a second rotatable actuator and a second cabling mechanism. A third member extends between the front and the back and is adjustable via the actuation of the second rotatable actuator and a third cabling mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20230004013
Abstract: A head-mounted display (HMD) includes various features that allow for customizing the HMD to different users. The HMD may include an interpupillary distance (IPD) adjustment mechanism that includes a double biasing assembly for smooth, controlled adjustment of the spacing between lens tubes. The HMD may include a field of view (FOV) adjustment mechanism that includes first and second gear assemblies connected via a connecting rod to allow uniform adjustment of the spacing between the lenses and the user's face. The HMD may further include a swappable face gasket, a swappable visor, a removable head strap, and a modular accessory compartment for further customizations to the HMD. The HMD may further include inconspicuous spectrum-transmissive windows that are made with a spectrum-transmissive base material for the HMD housing that is coated with a spectrum-opaque material, and the spectrum-opaque material is selectively removed to create the spectrum-transmissive windows.

  • Publication number: 20160370792
Abstract: A waste removal and transfer assembly for a 3D printing system comprises a waste material remover and a waste material collector. The waste material remover comprises a movable waste removing element selectively movable into contact with a planerizer roller to remove 3D printing waste material from the planerizer roller. The waste material remover is coupled to translate with the planerizer roller and comprises an opening leading to a waste material receptacle configured to receive waste material and at least one port selectively operable to transfer waste material from the waste receptacle. The waste material collector has a receiving position that is stationary relative to the waste material remover. The waste material collector comprises an opening and a waste material storage recess to receive waste material transferred from the waste material remover via the at least one port and to store the received waste material for subsequent disposal.
