Abstract: An electricity switching device has an control handle reciprocally moveable between two positions. A remotely controllable operator attaches to the switching device and has an actuator that is coupled by a lever to the control handle enabling for manual operation of the device. A motor drives a threaded shaft on which a driver in mounted. Rotation of the threaded shaft by the motor causes the driver to slide within the operator. A handle actuator is coupled to slide with the driver and pushes the control handle between the two positions. Once the handle actuator has been pushed into one of the two positions, the handle actuator moves over the other side of the control handle in order to push in the opposite direction. Movement to the other side also eliminates the handle actuator from interfering with manual operation of the electricity switching device.
