  • Patent number: 10630620
Abstract: Described is a system and method for automatically updating an action item in an electronic communication application using a single input or click from a user. In response to received input, an electronic communication having a mailto link is automatically generated. The mailto link includes the email address of the intended recipient, an identifier associated with the action item, and the update that is to be performed on the action item. The electronic communication is then automatically provided to the intended recipient and the update is performed on the action item.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 5, 2017
Date of Patent: April 21, 2020
    Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLC
Inventors: Roberto R. F. Mendes, Dipak Sarjerao Pawar, Sunitha Kumari Kedar Prasad Gupta, Jaskaran Singh, Sina Hakami

  • Publication number: 20110253033
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for growing crystals. The method includes substantially fully covering a seed crystal in a charge material, using a heat source to melt the charge material, cooling the seed crystal to keep the seed crystal at least partially intact as the charge material melts, allowing at least a portion of the seed crystal to melt into the molten charge material, and continually growing the crystal by reducing the temperature of the heat source, moving the molten charge material and seed crystal from the heat source, and increasing a rate of cooling of the seed crystal.

  • Publication number: 20100101387
Abstract: A controlled heat extraction system and method thereof is disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes a housing to form a chamber. The system further includes a seed cooling component adapted to support a bottom of the crucible and to receive a coolant fluid to cool the supported portion of the crucible. The system also includes at least one heating element substantially surrounding the seed cooling component and the crucible to heat the crucible, where the seed cooling component along with the crucible is movable relative to the at least one heating element. Furthermore, the system includes an insulating element substantially surrounding the crucible, the seed cooling component and the at least one heating element. Additionally, the system includes a gradient control device (GCD) movable relative to the insulating element, the at least one heating element, the seed cooling component and the crucible over a range of positions.

  • Patent number: 6284312
Abstract: A method and apparatus, and product by process, for the production of bulk polysilicon by broad area chemical vapor deposition, consisting of a quartz envelope and base plate forming a reactor enclosure, with external radiant heaters providing the heat source. A thin wall, edge-defined film fed growth (EFG) silicon tube section is used as the deposition casing and reaction chamber wall. The tube is capped at the top and sealed to the base plate to form the reaction chamber. External heaters radiate heat through the quartz enclosure to heat the tube wall to deposition temperature. A through flow of process gas is introduced to initiate the deposition. A uniform wide surface area deposit occurs on the inside surface of the tube, causing the diameter to become increasingly smaller as the yield accumulates.
