  • Patent number: 7663481
Abstract: Provided is a method for mobile sensor node roaming in an environment of first and second adjacent wireless sensor networks having a plurality of sensor nodes. The method includes the steps of: periodically performing energy detection scan and active scan operations, at the mobile sensor node forming an association with a parent node of the first wireless network, and obtaining energy values of selected channels and link quality indications (LQIs) for the channels; when the sensor node moves to the second wireless sensor network, periodically performing energy detection scan and active scan operations, at the sensor node, and obtaining energy values of selected channels and link quality indications (LQIs) for the channels after movement; comparing, at the sensor node, the energy values and link quality indications (LQIs) of the selected channels before and after movement.

  • Publication number: 20090109058
Abstract: The traffic information providing device receives traffic information corresponding to a bus stop or a platform at which the traffic information providing device is positioned from a management server for collecting traffic information from at least one public transportation means, and broadcasts the received traffic information to the traffic information receiving device that is provided within a predetermined distance from the traffic information providing device by using the ZigBee or wireless sensor network that is a wireless personal area network (WPAN). The traffic information receiving device receives traffic information from the traffic information providing device by using the ZigBee or wireless sensor network, filters the same according to a filtering condition input by the user, and outputs traffic information desired by the user.

  • Publication number: 20080136606
Abstract: Provided are a separable device for controlling a node and a sensor network node. The separable node-control device includes: a second interface connecting a power line and a data signal line with the outside; and a power supply for supplying power to the second interface and a sensor unit, wherein the power supply and the second interface are controlled by an external control device combined with the second interface and the controller are driven by power supplied from the external device. According to the separable node-control device and the sensor network node, the node-control device is separated from the sensor network node so that the function of the sensor network node can be readily changed according to need.

  • Publication number: 20060136846
Abstract: Provided is a user interface apparatus that can control a telematics terminal safely and comfortably while driving, by recognizing a hand gesture image received through a camera in the telematics terminal as a corresponding control signal, and a method thereof. The interface apparatus using a hand gesture recognition, includes: an input receiving block for receiving a command registration request signal and a command selection signal; a hand gesture recognizing block for storing the hand gesture image in connection with a specific command, and transforming the hand gesture image into the corresponding command by recognizing the hand gesture image from the image obtained in the image obtaining block; and a command performing block for performing an operation corresponding to a command transformed in the hand gesture recognizing block.
