  • Patent number: 8245601
Abstract: A screwdriver sleeve finder comprises a sleeve, a fastener stop, purge channels, and ports. The sleeve is mountable on a screwdriver around a bit for driving a threaded fastener. The fastener stop is disposed within the sleeve between a forward bore and a rearward bore, and defines, between the rearward bore and the forward bore, an axial path for the bit to engage the threaded fastener and an evacuation path. The purge channels are defined within sidewalls of the sleeve, and the ports are disposed in the sidewalls of the sleeve to fluidly couple respective ones of the purge channels to the forward bore. The sleeve may be coupled to a compressed gas source for supplying compressed gas into the forward bore via the purge channels and ports, and to a vacuum source for evacuating particles within the forward bore via the evacuation path and the rearward bore.

  • Publication number: 20090027145
Abstract: A receiver comprises two tuners and a DC-to-DC converter (DCC) for generating an increased supply voltage (VH) on the basis of a main supply voltage. Each tuner comprises a tunable circuit (TUC1), which can be tuned by means of a tuning voltage (VT1). Each tuner further comprises a tuning control circuit (TCC1) that is coupled to the DC-to-DC converter (DCC) via a load circuit (LD1) for generating the tuning voltage (VT1). The load circuit (LD1) of at least one of the two tuners comprises a branch (D1) coupled to receive the main supply voltage (VCC). The branch (D1) is conductive when the tuning voltage (VT1) is within a voltage range substantially comprised between 0 and the main supply voltage (VCC).

  • Publication number: 20070120049
Abstract: An optical encoder includes an optical encoder pattern of alternating light elements and dark elements, and an optical unit, including an optical emitter providing light to the encoder pattern, and an optical sensor including a photo-detector receiving the light from the optical encoder pattern and in response thereto outputting a sinusoidal signal indicating relative movement between the optical sensor and the encoder pattern. In one embodiment, the photo-detector has a diamond shape, a modified-diamond shape, or an hourglass shape. In another embodiment, at least one of the light elements and the dark elements of the optical encoder pattern has a diamond shape, a modified-diamond shape, or an hourglass shape.
